Pluto is a manga series written and drawn by Naoki Urasawa, the genius behind titles like Monsters and 20th Century Boys. Released from 2003 to 2009, this one manga has won many awards. And maybe, soon we will get an adaptation of Pluto anime.

The possibility of an adaptation of Pluto's anime appears instead of Japan, but France. In the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the booth from Genco displayed a poster for Pluto. In the poster, it appears Atom, Gesicht, Uran, and Pluto's silhouette as its main antagonist.


If you are not familiar with Pluto's name, maybe you will know him from another series, Astro Boy. Pluto is an adaptation of one of the important arcs in Astro Boy, which is the Strongest Robot on Earth (地上 最大 の ロ ボ ッ ト).

The anime adaptation of Pluto will most likely be produced by Genco who previously produced the first and second Sword Art Online, Gate, and High School DxD. Unfortunately, not yet known which studio will handle the animation.
