Smoke Haze Due to Forest Fires

Today, the haze from forest fires in other areas has reached our area, so I reduce my activities outside the house or outdoor. This haze that has become air pollution can cause upper respiratory infections and shortness of breath.

I canceled the walk around the housing complex to avoid exposure to smog. I replace it with indoor activities, treadmills. In the office I also do not do a lot of outdoor activities because air pollution has also occurred due to the haze of forest fires.

Forest fires in Indonesia are so severe that now it is very difficult to get air that is free of air pollution. The forest which was burnt by irresponsible persons is to open up new land for oil palm companies. Many children have died from respiratory infections.

The Indonesian government does not take legal action to ensnare these companies because behind the scenes these companies are supporters of the current government. The government only has the power to ensnare the messengers who burn the forest and they become scapegoats for the forest fires.

Forests in Indonesia which are famous for the lungs of the world have now collapsed and become a silent killer for its residents.
