The story behind the picture
This will be simple and straightforward, my story is about cashew fruits, on this day my brother and I went and plugged cashews as you can see in the picture and I was excited that we were fortunate enough to plug some cashews up to a year since the last time I tasted cashew fruits and also the nuts, but I in this post I will focus mainly on the fruit, cashew is not just a fruit.
Also known as the cashew apple, is a sweet and juicy fruit that grows on the cashew tree. Cashew apple offers a unique combination of flavors, textures, and nutritional benefits.
The cashew fruit is a rich source of:
- Vitamin C: Cashew fruit is a source of vitamin C, an essential antioxidant that helps protect against oxidative stress.
- Potassium: Cashew fruit is a good source of potassium, a mineral that helps regulate blood pressure and gives healthy heart function.
- Fiber: Cashew fruit is a good source of dietary fiber; it supports healthy digestion and other functions.
Lastly, it is an antioxidant.
I enjoy cashew fruit, fresh and sliced, as a healthy snack.
The cashew fruit is also traditional medicine for various purposes; examples are Antibacterial properties and anti-inflammatory properties, and Dye can be used as a natural dye.
Embracing the cashew fruit is a way to appreciate this delicious and nutritious fruit. Both the fruits and the nuts are nutritious, but this article is basically about the cuisine of cashew fruit.
