The 7 days Fate of Your Steemit Post- What to know as a newbie.

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Hello steemians, welcome to my blog today.

Today will be talking about the fate of a steemit post. This post was inspired because I have made several other posts and watched it “fade out” into the annals of steemit block chain after being in the steemit market for 7 days. So I decided to leave a blueprint for newbies that maybe interested to understand the rationale behind a potential post.

post write up1.jpgsource

Every single post is birthed by an idea(s) or an inspiration. Remember the cause and effect we were taught back then? (The cause is the reason for making the post and the effect is the post you come up with.) I think there is no single exception to the rule, even the bots are configured in the same way.

Ideas are your mental thoughts flying across our minds that could be useful if harnessed properly. When ideas are documented, it is a good step towards actualization of a great project or dream

A prospective post will go through 2 phases, before it completes the remaining 3 phases when it is made.

INITIATION PHASE

This is the first phase for a prospective post. This phase starts with the flow of thoughts and ends just when the post makes a debut on the stem block chain. If you notice, on the panel, there is a column for title, body and tags.
The title should be a best seller if you want your post to catch the attention of your audience.

The body of your post is your documented thoughts or ideas. This no doubt has to be interesting. It should be well formatted with the right mark down styles and it should be appetizing to the eyes. This is because “the average attention span of a human being is about 8 seconds.” Meaning, after 8 seconds, a prospective follower or up voter will lose interest in your post and move on to another one that tickles his fancy.

In the #INITIATION phase, there is a “post window” that I would like to call “input-panel” and “output”/preview panel”. The input panel is what I described earlier. The output/preview panel is a window that helps you to see how you’re beautiful your post looks to the end users.

Once you are satisfied with what you get at the preview window, your post goes into the next phase, I would like to call the LAUNCHING PHASE. This is a transient phase that ushers the post into the steemit world for your prospective audience to read. This stage is preceded your choice of reward (either as a 50 SBD/50 STEEM, 100 STEEM, or a decline of payment) when you check any of these.

CURATION PHASE :

The first 30 minutes is the rate-limiting phase in the curation phase( what I mean here is simple, this phase determines if the post will continue its journey for the remaining days or stop the long awaited journey) . If a post gets a vote from @cheetah, this is a bad sign, because your readers will be afraid to visit that particular post for fear of the unknown.

Fast forward to past, 30mins after you make a post, congratulations if your post crossed the 30 minutes gap, your post is already on its way to greatness. You still need to work extra hard to help it succeed. Which leads to the next phase.

POST PROMOTION PHASE-

This is just you helping to promote your post to the audience that were not in your target when you made the post. Sometimes this could be very tasking because it requires self-discipline to focus on marketing your post to every prospective target.

Upvote turn out might be poor, prospective voters sometimes may have challenges ranging from #time- if they are the busy type like me, #bandwidth- if they are the very active ones that mean business on stemit, #battery issue- if they are those in areas with poor power supply, #communication- yes communication can also be a barrier. Have you read a post in Hindu? I bet comprehension might be difficult.

It is wise to remain steadfast and determined in marketing your post no matter the odds. It only takes extra effort to make this happen, you can be proactive and envision the challenges I listed and think of a clever way to solve this transient problems, if you figure out beautiful ways, it could be the beginning of a lasting relationship if you play your cards well with prospective steemians.

PAY-OUT PHASE

After seven complete days of your post cycle, the upvotes accumulated is converted to #STEEM or #STEEM-BACK-DOLLARS which is immediately transferred to your steem wallet. You can imagine the joy when you go to your wallet and you see the fruit of your HARD WORK welcoming you with a romantic question.

“Do you wish to redeem your reward?”
