Some thoughts on civilization and evolution and morality and stuff like that.
Morality may be subjective on some levels or even entirely, but we all have things we tend to desire and avoid.
Without such, what would be the point of life, right?
So shouldn't we look at these things we avoid and desire and try to compare and liken them to what other beings experience?
Just because you experience morality subjectively and have your own interpretation of such, does not mean it's okay to infringe on others unjustly.
In a sense, you can get away with it, and I doubt there's any karma or heaven or hell or anything like that.
Though, it warps your psyche and soul to act that way, and.. Just because you ignore the immoral acts and burden you put upon others, does not mean they don't exist..
It just means you're ignoring it.
People who argue subjective morality at a high level are interesting to me, cause they would never want done to them what they inflict upon others.
Yet can't seem to realize that disconnect in their own cognitive dissonence.
They use subjective morality as an excuse to do things, they wouldn't want done to them.
And if that's the case, we might as well live in the jungle with no laws or anything like that.
That's the ultimate form of that mindset if we take it to it's conclusion.
When you infringe on someone you alienate them, you could even turn them into an enemy.
Society doesn't work as well when you rob and rape and kill your people, eventually the people overthrow their governments and this has happened quite a bit in history.
If you advocate for "there is no good or bad" "no morality", then you're basically for an apex predator king of the jungle mindset.
If you do believe there is right and wrong and morality, then.. Peaceful negotiation and cooperation and working together should probably be the way to go.
As an anarchist I don't believe in law, but.. To me I think it's weird when people want to throw out morality.
How far will society go if we're just raping and murdering and torturting each other?
As opposed to how far will society go if we're all educating, and helping and healing each other?
Some of this stuff just seems so simple sometimes, I don't really get why so many people are stuck in the mindset of.. "Fuck everyone else, who cares what I do just as long as I get what I want"
That attitude is ruining this world for probably most of the inhabitants of the planet so the uber wealthy and elite can do whatever they want.
And then they have most regular people as their "buffer". Especially in the industrialized world, even just regular people who like go to McDonalds are sort of like.. A prison guard in a sense because they keep perpetuating the system.
Poor children and humans are starving around the planet, so they can have an unsustainable king like lifestyle.
(Not to mention the animals that do have inherent universal rights just like humans, but which are ignored)
Even though they may be poor and paying like.. a couple dollars a day to eat shitty processed food.
It's still a lot better than those children who are starving and dying in other lands cause their government is exporting almost all their grain to feed our livestock animals.
It's really almost a systemic thing.. Like.. The elite in power have this mindset of.. "King of the hill" or "king of the jungle, or "take take take for my own gain and pleasure, fuck whoever gets in the way".
And they instill that into their slaves, which are like kings compared to much of the rest of the world.
As long as people in mass keep enabling and allowing the people in power to destroy the planet and others for greed, things will continue to suck for most of the population of the world(Including the animals).
Ancient cultures fed people meat to make them more violent and warriorlike.
And they continue to do this today.
If you're stuck in this Darwinian survival of the fittest mindset, meat may be a good choice for you.
However, if you're not stuck in that and you want more communication and peace and voluntary cooperation in the world instead.. Then it might be a bit of a contradiction.
Though if you look at it right, in my opinion.. The strongest one is the peaceful one. And, the best chances of longterm survival for our species is a peaceful route.
Might makes right isn't just immoral in the grand scheme of human evolution.
It might also actually even eventually extinct our species, and many others. -.-
PS.. I think being strong and warriorlike is important in it's ways and we shouldn't lose that.
Especially if we have to some day fight aliens from elsewhere or something like that..
And just to be able to protect ourselves and our loved ones from other humans or animals if necessary.
Yet.. I think we can do that without becoming extreme and sacrificing morality.
The peaceful warrior is the strongest warrior in my opinion.
Especially when the "evil" ones can never really trust each other..
They're always killing each other to try to gain each others power and become the "alpha".. But that is a temporary illusion, and will be perpetually changing and shifting, just like the winds and sands of history.
Always be strong , God doesn't put us trough any battle we can not take
We only human... Sometimes we need to do what we have to do... Sometimes we do good and sometimes we do bad... Hopefully we do more good that bad... Life must go on...
