This analysis is based on the Nigerian users on steem blockchain who have "Nigeria" as their location in the profile section.

Outline

In this study:

• I identified the number of accounts found with Nigeria in the profile settings.
• I examine the accounts of activeness by checking the if the account made any upvote in January 2018.
• Next i did an analysis on the STEEM POWER Distribution of Nigerian accounts.
• Then another analysis on reputation score distribution.
• Finally, an analysis on post including, post count and posting rewards.

Tools

I used arcange's Steem SQL Public Database to acquire the data-points related to the variables studied in this analysis under the Account table. I ran a simple query in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to get all the variables used

Results

NUMBER OF ACCOUNT FOUND

A total of 4101 accounts was found with Nigeria in the profile settings.

From the results above it is evident that Steemit marks all time high registration from Nigeria as a region which can be associated to the number of publicity done by Nigerians as seen in the visibility category of utopian.

NUMBER OF ACTIVE ACCOUNTS
2280 accounts upvoted at least once in 2018 showing activeness.

Judging from the chart above, it can be said that 44% of the Nigerian accounts open before January 2018 is not active.

Steem Power Distribution:
Nigerian accounts holds a total of 65.242,87379 STEEM POWER

From the chart above a huge cut of the Nigerian population on steemit have a steem power lesser than 100. on the averagee it can be said that all nigerian account on steemit.com have a steem power lesser than 100.
