In the world there are destinations for all tastes. There are even some who usually have fewer inhabitants compared to the amount of tourists they receive and that makes them more attractive places.
ONE. Monaco
Monaco is one of the cities most chosen by the famous.
Bordered by France on three sides, it is recognized worldwide for its extraordinary coastline and incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea. Also its reputation based on the luxury and extravagance positions it today like one of the destinations more chosen by the famous ones. It has a population of around 38,400 people and according to the census of 2015, for each one of its inhabitants receives an average of nine tourists.
TWO. Malta
Malta is a small town that lies about 80 km south of Italy.
Malta is an island nation about 80 kilometers south of Italy. It has an area of only 312 square kilometers and a population of 450,000. It is known to be one of the smallest and densely populated countries in the world. In recent years there has been a large increase in tourism, to such an extent that it is becoming a growing concern in the country.
THREE. Andorra
Andorra is surrounded by France and Spain and this makes the territory offer a mixture of culture attractive to tourists.
Andorra or officially called Principality of Andorra, is located in the Pyrenees in the southwest of Europe and has no exit to the sea. The fact that it is surrounded by Spain and France makes the territory offer tourists a mixture of cultures. This destination has 85,470 people and for each inhabitant it is estimated that a total of 34 tourists are received per year.
FOUR. Sint Maarten
Located in the Caribbean Sea, receives thousands of tourists per day that go to the destination for different excursions.
Sint Maarten is a country located in the Caribbean Sea and part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It presents a division in its territory: the north part belongs to the French Republic in 40% of the total of its territory, whereas the rest of the island is an autonomous country within the Dutch monarchy. This destination is a synonym of tourism attraction. Visitors to the island are divided among those staying at one of their resorts and those who arrive on a cruise for a day trip. Its population is 33,609 and receives an average of eight tourists per inhabitant.
FIVE. Iceland
With its spectacular views and natural hot springs, it has increased its tourism in recent years.
With 332,529 inhabitants and an area of 103,000 square kilometers, it is the least populated country in Europe. In recent years there was a growth in the tourism sector due to the popularity it gained. This is thanks to the spectacular views and the natural hot springs that it offers, as well as places for whale watching were key to attracting visitors. On average, Iceland receives three tourists each year for each of its inhabitants.
SIX. Macau
Macau, is one of the places that promises to be the new competition of Las Vegas.
Named officially as the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. It has autonomy and is situated on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, in East Asia. Macau is a very popular city, known for its luxury hotels and casinos. Since 2006, it boasts to have the highest income in the world in terms of such games. Its population is fixed at 650,900 people and receives an annual average of 23 tourists per each citizen.
SEVEN. Hong Kong
Hong Kong is one of the destinations most chosen by tourists.
Named as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. With a population of 7.3 million and an area of only 1,106 square kilometers, it is the fourth most populous sovereign state in the world. It is one of the key financial centers in the world and in turn the eleventh most popular destination among international tourists, so it is not surprising that the number of people who visit this place surpasses its residents.
EIGHT. Aruba
Aruba, is located in the Caribbean Sea and is one of the destinations with better weather.
Aruba is located in the south of the Caribbean Sea, 29 kilometers north of the coast of Venezuela. It has a dry climate and a landscape full of cacti. These characteristics are considered as some of the reasons why this destination is so visited. According to a census carried out in 2010, the island has 102,484 inhabitants and the average number of tourists per person living in Aruba is 11 tourists per one of them.
NINE. Bermuda
Bermuda is one of the busiest destinations because it is an offshore financial center.
Bermuda is a British overseas territory that is situated in the North Atlantic Ocean. Tourism is the second largest industry in this territory, as it is an offshore financial center. It is estimated that around a quarter of a million travelers pass through this destination each year. Bermuda has a population of 64,237 inhabitants.
TEN. Palau
Palau is the mecca of scuba diving and snorkeling.
Palau is an island country located in the Pacific Ocean. It is made up of about 320 islands. The stunning coral reefs along with WW2 make it a mecca for scuba diving and snorkeling. According to a census of 2013, it has a population of 20,918 people. The annual number of tourists visiting the area is 7 times more than the population of the country.
