The diary game:05/09/2020.wonderful introduction in augandan way
its yet another beautiful new day on steemit diary game 2 and am finding it fun and intresting.
Got up today around 7:00am and did some clean up where i scrubbed the bathroom after some long time because I dont always do it everyday .
I then prepared some breakfast of boiled cassava and some mandazi with black tea.
cooking being one of my hobbies i dont struggle thinking of what to cook just get ideas and i thank steemit for this game because iam really trying to utilise every opportunity of being in the kitchen.
I really feel good and anxious to always learn more concerning kitchen stuff.
At around 10:00am,my breakfast was ready served then had to dress up and moved to fulfill what i needed to do today with my brother in town because it was adebt for us to fulfill.
Because of lockdown in Uganda,most things have changed here because its not supposed to be like this that you have pre visit today and then do introduction the following day.this has been good because there has been saving of costs and even the scientific way has saved on the expenses of catering for many people.
Since there was introducing of my brother to his parents in law yesterday then the following week we are to take the dowry that had been agreed upon thats 10 cows,6 goats,4 hens,sugar,chair, fridge,traditional wears for aunties,uncles ,brothers and parents in law.
We reached at around 1:00pm and we were welcomed well and ushered into the tent and it was so wonderful and well decorated.
We presented all the gifts that we had brought for the bride consisting abeautiful flower plus many fruits and she appreciated because everything that we were told to bring was brought.
We were later served food and drinks as the speeches were going on so at around and this is how our food looked like so delicious.
At around 4:00pm,gifts were given out to the owners and I thank God it went well and there cutting of the cake then later the last prayer was said. We had to begin our journey back
wooow it has been fun although hectic because of too much sun and the distance but bigups to @yohan2on who introduced me to this game full of healthy exercises and activities that strengthen relationships.
The Ugandan way, you people are so lucky to have your ties with the traditions, goats, cows, etc are the long forgotten items in my place dowry processes. The in-laws here all they need is cash and lots of cash for their daughters and not anything else 'bulky' as they says.
Looking gorgeous there, frame 2 - are those food baskets or gifts and arre they part of the traditions or more of ornaments.
