In a sea of plastic,
but with real waves.
With plastic hearts.
but with human beats.
Without blood.

With reassuring smiles.
We move like stars.
We pose with plastic promises.
False.
Only promises.

The art has passed.
Beauty is a memory.
Twisted, like your thoughts.

dei grandi della Terra.

Ci muoviamo come stelle.
Ci atteggiamo, con promesse di plastica.
False.
Solo promesse.
Non abbiamo più musica, ne anima.
L'arte è passata.
La bellezza è un ricordo.
Contorti, come i vostri pensieri.

Such an expressive painting, Armando ! I love that you chose the surrealist style for this one, both in its composition and the colour choices that you worked with. The yellow trees, with their branches stretching, reaching as if for some salvation, screaming with their limbs for something to grasp, and the suns and stars in the sky, each their own swirls of vague and desolate lights, too far away and too indifferent....
All of these are set against the turbulent sea, that echoes the tumult of the trees' anguish! A beautiful and emotional piece!
Accompanied by such a harrowing poem, about the Earth, about mankind, and how we have become plastic and fake.........., you have created a very powerful post, @armandosodano! Very well done !

This is one very powerful painting Armando. I love the yellow toxic color that you used for the trees to show their pain and frustration. How they are screaming for someone to save them. They did so much for us and the only thing we do for the nature is to drown it in plastic and garbage. I also like the waves that makes the dramatic painting even stronger.
And what a great poem! The nature is hurt and in pain and we should finally do something to save it. We are only visitors here and we should behave like that..
