Architectural tour of Caracas
Due to the great amount of sites I have visited in the last weeks, sometimes I have not had time to capture all the splendor of the monuments or buildings that represent the architectural richness we have in Venezuela.
Here is a quick selection of some ancient and more recent buildings that adorn and embellish this great city.
In the first photo we can appreciate part of it facade of the national assembly place where they are representatives of the different political parties that make life in the country, the building was inaugurated in 1877 and it has beautiful Neo-classical style in next publications I will make a detailed tour to show this beautiful place.
The second photograph can appreciate one of the towers of the central park, the only skyscraper that Venezuela has, which until 2003 were the highest towers in Latin America with 60 floors and 225 meters high. There are many photos but I have not seen photos from inside the museum of contemporary art.
Mayor's office and municipal council of government a very beautiful building with Neo-classical architecture, its imposing facades remain in very good condition, the building was inaugurated in the year 1906.
A beautiful photograph of the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes located in the theme park the calvary the chapel was built in the year 1884, is currently abandoned, although in the photos you can see in good condition.
The last photograph is of the current government building of the national constituent assembly, formerly used as a smelter of precious metals and for marketing. Of this building I must investigate better because I could not find many data and that is interesting, there can be many things behind the past of the building.
Soon I will be expanding the information of each one of these places.
