Will Lacazette Join Arsenal?

It seems like the deal is pretty close to be done. One of the most reliable sources when it comes to Arsenal news have tweeted:

Lacazette would be a great add-on for the team having been the top scorer for Lyon for some years now. There is a huge difference from Ligue 1 to Premier League, but he has shown consistent goal scoring through many years. He is 26 years old striker with a lot more movement than we used to with Giroud. It's being told that he will sign a 5-year deal tomorrow, keeping him at Arsenal until 2022.

According to Jim White, a british journalist, is saying that the medical is done, and paperwork is being done as I write this. Wenger is ofcourse at sleep, but others might be working. The deal looks close to be done. I assume it will be done by the end of this week.

A quick look at the "sometimes reliable source" says a lot of stuff is going on atm. He is aswell confirming medicals are done, and at the saying time another medical was done of a 15 year old spanish player. Interesting. Also is he saying 10 players will leave Arsenal. I find this very realistic. Gibbs, Jenkinson, Sanogo, Giroud, just to name a few. Also he claims to know that Mesut Özil is staying, which I would call good news. That leaves us at, Will Sanchez stay?

The signing we need. Lacazette is prolific and hard to contain. Imagine trying to defend Sanchez, Ozil and Lacazette. Arsenal should win the Europa league in a canter!

That's fair ;) But Giroud didn't really have a bad season for Arsenal. He's the type of player that is best used from the bench. He isn't good enough when he starts, but when he comes on late in the game, he brings in enough change of style, freshness and finishing consistency to make a difference.

I think he thrives in that role and is not a bad asset for the team to have even with the addition of Lacazette or even M'bape on top of that as Giroud is simply not expected to compete for the starting berth anyway and I think he himself doesn't mind being used as a sub to make a difference.

That's an interesting question. Especially with Lacazette incoming, I would rather have Giroud on the bench as he is someone who actually thrives there. Welbeck might actually be an option that fits Everton too.
