My Love For Plants~ Water Propagating
I have been collecting and propagating plants for as long as I remember. My mother has always been an avid plant collector. She collects and showcases prize wining geraniums and tropical plants at shows and has shared her love for the "urban jungle" with me since I was a child.
Lately, I have been propating quite a few plants in water. It's such an easy method to multiply and share your specimens.
I find Monsteras and pothos to be the quickest to propagate this way.
You simply cut off at a node from the mother plant using clean scissors or trimmers and immerse your cutting in clean water, making sure to change it weekly.
It is a very easy method and a great way to reuse glass vases.
This beauty I have been rooting for a couple of months needs to have her leaves dusted. I like to use a dry microfiber cloth then gently spray them under the sink or shower with water. Many indoor plants really thrive off humidity!
The roots on this Prayer Plant (my mom has had the plant where this rooting came from since I was born!) look delicately ethereal don't you think?
With a full vegetable, fruit and herb garden on my property and a collection of succulents xeriscaped onto my front yard I am always surrounded by life. I'll always be grateful for my little urban jungle.

Your plants look amazing! I love doing cutting too but I never replant then, I just let them be in the water 😂
Don’t the roots look beautiful always! Plus you don’t get those little flying bugs if you keep them in water. I so wished you lived closer!
