IOTA in position to rocket to the moon in 2018
Stockmarket traders often say; "Money never sleeps" -
well neither does IOTA

So many positive Things happening in the world of IOTA that it is hard to get any sleep.
Those who know me/follow me, know that I am having an elicit love affair with IOTA behind my wife´s back. When I first laid my eyes on the white paper, well what can I say, it was love at first sight.
Well it seems I am not the only one.
Journalist Roman Semko of Medium recently wrote an excellent article telling of how the IOTA tangle is growing steadily and quickly:
Here is the relevant snippet of the article below.
Here is the whole article if you wish to read it: https://medium.com/deviota/iota-tangle-growth-update-october-2017-9fb61a187388
This is significant for two reasons.
First because it shows the belief, confidence and investment in IOTA is growing at a very healthy rate.
This is actually rather surprising considering how difficult it is to actually purchase IOTA. There are very few cryptocurrency exchanges that actually have IOTA, with Bitfinex being the most well known.
Considering the vast growth potential, as well as the ever growing interest in IOTA, this should change in the coming months. When IOTA becomes easy to buy then watch its price fly.
Secondly, the more wallet addresses there are on the tangle the stronger the tangle becomes.
The more transactions there are, the faster the transactions become.
incidentally this is the opposite of blockchin technology which becomes slower the more transactions are made
I like to think of the tangle as like being a spiders web.
When the spider begins making the web the web is weak with very few strands attached to anything to hold it together. As the web grows the web becomes more stable and ever more stronger.
When the spider sits in the very centre it can "feel" any slight vibration within the web and in all directions all at the same time. Pretty fantastic.
Now imagine the strands of the web as being wires or cables through which digital information can be sent. I suppose we could say that each new person joining the network adds one more strand.
If we were at the centre, we could then send information (IOTA coins) in any direction. In this way one can see why the network is faster the more people there are in the network.
I am sure the tangle algorithm does not actually work like this but it can help to visualise it working in this way. At least until I come up with a better analogy. Im working on it : )

IOTA PRICE PREDICTION
I recently wrote that, in my opinion, the price of IOTA would fluctuate between $0.45 and $0.38 over the next few weeks while the whole forking mess of Bitcoin is going on.
So far this had been true.
The fact that IOTA is holding at these slight fluctuating levels is good evidence that that there is strong investor support for IOTA. This gives me confidence and it is why every time IOTA has fallen to $0.38 or less, I have bought some more. .
Now here is even more good news.
FInancial Journalist Gaurav Iyer at Profit Confidential, has written a very interesting articel on IOTAs very near future.
Using chart analysis, as well as other relevant information, it reveals that IOTA will reach $5 dollars during 2018. Apparently this was a rather conservative estimate meaning they believe it will reach much higher.
Here is the relevant snippet of the article below.
Here is the link to the article if you wish to read all of it: https://www.profitconfidential.com/cryptocurrency/iota/iota-price-prediction-2018-little-known-cryptocurrency-record-four-digit-returns/
Finally just to finish off, you may or may not have heard that there is in a new smart phone on the block...chain.
Apparently a smart phone that is designed to work on blockchain technology is set to be released soon.
However, it is not actually block-chain it will be using but rather the tangle of IOTA.
And the tangle, as we know, is NOT a blockchain at all. When this is released this will become big news for IOTA showing how its superfast network functions in a real life situation.
Here is the relevant snippet of the article below.
I hope all this GOOD NEWS has helped to lift the spirits of those who believe and have invested in IOTA?
Making posts like this is my way of trying to help
I know it can be somewhat disheartening when we see red all over the coinmarketcap listings and the mighty Bitcoin colored green and surging ahead. So if you feel I have helped please give me an upvote and perhaps a resteem to also help motivate me to continue. We all meed a boost now and again.
Thanks for reading and visiting my blog, and remember,
Stay STRONG, the road ahead is LONG, but with IOTA you can not go WRONG
What I write is merely my own thoughts from my own life experience.
If you like what I post you are very welcome to follow my blog.
A friendly upvote is always appreciated and helps to motivate me.
A resteem I see as a gift.
A warm welcome back in advance
Good post. I have been watching IOTA for some time now, but the fact that the major exchanges, except for Bitfinex, have not touched this coin makes me suspect something is off.
Maybe the tech hasn't been proven yet?
Thanx : )
IOTA was recently added to Binance so that is a step in the right direction. I also heard there was a new exchange being launched soon and IOTA will be on that too.
It is true that IOTA has had some bugs but so has every single alt coin including Bitcoin.
I mean for every thousand lines of code there will always be one bug. However, IOTA have some of the best developers in the world on their team and they get these bugs sorted out as fast as lightning.
I have more good news for IOTA soon too and as soon as I have ti confirmed I will post about it. I dont like posting unless it is verified and the information is solid.
Cheers @technwizardry
IOTA Tangle is now in my dreams. I will definitely invest in very soon in IOTA. Your illustration is outclass. Nobody can beat you in this regard. I love your 2nd illustration The Tangle is growing - This is superb piece of work. Keep it up & stay Blessed!
Hey thanks for your untiring support my dear friend.
Yes you must see if you can get hold of some IOTA when you can. It is sure to be a great investment my friend and I only wish you the very best for your future. You are only young and have your whole future ahead of you, You have plenty of time to make much money in this new area of crypto currency.
It is time for money to be spread around to the many and not just the rich few. Everyone has the right to live without worries of money and paying their bills or buying food. This is what I hope for crypto currency will do in the coming years. The future it bright by friend, we much hop our leaders do not start a war.
Make friends not war - is what I try to live by.
Blessing to you and your famiy my good man
100% agree with your statement my dearest friend:
Everyone has the right to live without worries of money and paying their bills or buying food. This is what I hope for crypto currency will do in the coming years
Yes, the price target is $0.01 USD for one IOTA.
Got my seatbelt on :)
Purchasing my first 100MIOTA from Bitfinex, transferring to my wallet and seeing that I actually receive 100MIOTA was really amazing. For a moment I was like, where are the fees? Ah, that's right this is tangle, no fees :)
Wow that´great news Nik, you wont be sorry man.
There is more good news on the horizon too but I am waiting for it to be confirmed.
It all looks good for IOTA. We all just need to sit tight and wait for the Bitcoin bonkers to calm dont.
By the way my Ghosterly is working great, dont know how I manage without it now - cheers mate !!
Good to hear that!!
I just bought my first IOTA today too and was amazed that I received the full amount! Quite a pleasant surprise for sure! :)
@michellecarter Indeed!
Thanks for another article on IOTA, well miracles do happen as I have managed to stress it out and finally bought some on Bitfinex!
Now I don't know where to store them? I've read some threads of people leaving them on Bitfinex, which I know isn't recommended, any suggestions?
Thanks Arthur! :)
Dont worry too much about that.
It is true that Bitfinex had problems last year but now I trust them more because once bitten twice shy - they have tightened up their security a great deal since then. One year in the crypto space is a lifte time.
hackers tend to go for the big accounts and IOTAs price is so low at the moment I dont worry too much about them being target. It is the Bitcoin accounts that need to worry.
When IOTA begins to rise during the first months of 2018 then it might be time to be more concerned.
In the mean time, here is a link to where you can get an IOTA wallet:
https://github.com/iotaledger/wallet/releases
The one you want depends on if you use a Mac or a PC?
Thanks Arthur, most helpful.
I'm on a Mac so I've downloaded to being Light node or Full node and now I don't know!! I'm feeling full node, but thought I should check before clicking the wrong one!
It would be amazing if IOTA could be included in Exodus wallet sometime soon, using their shapeshift to exchange inside the wallet is so easy and would probably increase the amount of people buying it.
Thanks again. :)
OK great Michelle
Here is a link to a youtuber who shows you how to install an IOTA -
I think it is for the light wallet but Im not sure - the host is a funny guy who basically makes vlogs for crypto beginners so it is easy to follow, he is really good actually.
I think you will find it helpful.
Peronally I like the light wallet because you get the seed. This is invaluable because if your mac goes down and you lose all your data, as long as you have the seed sentence, you can still get all your funds back. It gives a great sense of security. I had a "core" wallet with DASH (no seed) a while back and my macbook went down and I lost all the data. I had not backed up the wallet and I lost all the dash coins -I still own some dash bit those I lost are gone forever - they are worth about $3000 today - ouch!
Hard lesson learned.
Good question about the Exodus wallet - I will ask the IOTA team about that . I know a guy who is on the team. I will get back to you on that one.
Oh thanks Arthur, what a star, video and all! Most helpful! :)
I've watched and decided I will leave it until the morning now, not sure I've downloaded the right version so will start a fresh!
Thanks for the info about needing to choose the 'seed' version', most important and so sorry to hear you lost all your dash $3000 ouch, yes!
I watched a video about security done by someone who had his mac stolen and lost several bitcoins that he'd bought very early on - also ouch!
I do find being in control of the seeds a bit freaky! I guess we're so used to thinking banks etc are looking after our money for us!!
It would be wonderful if IOTA was accepted on Exodus, thanks for checking it out. :)
Very wise to wait Michelle - If you need any more help dont hesitate to ask -
Thanks Arthur, most appreciated. If I get stuck I'll be back! :)
Success!! I couldn't face going there yesterday, and probably wise not to on halloween!
The newest version didn't give a seed, so I did have to go back to the version stated in the video to get a seed and then update, so great to have the video and that information.
I transferred from Bitfinex to the IOTA wallet and all done ok!
I also emailed Exodus about adding IOTA coin to their wallet and got this reply, so hoping they do add it in the future!
"IOTA is indeed an incredibly cool technology, and it's very different from other cryptocurrencies. We'd really love to be able to add it, but unfortunately it's due to this wildly different technology (tangle vs blockchain) that it would be very difficult to integrate seamlessly into Exodus.
For now, IOTA is listed on our roadmap as 'not planned', but that could still change in the future if more development tools become available. To stay up to date, check out our roadmap:
http://support.exodus.io/article/96-exodus-wallet-roadmap
I'm sorry that I couldn't bring you good news here, but I hope this at least explains our position!"
Thanks again for your help with this Arthur, I wouldn't have purchased any IOTA if I hadn't seen your blog posts! :)
That´s great news Michelle, I dont think you will regret buying IOTA - it is going places for sure.
You got it at a good price too as it is going down due to the Bitcoin Segwit palava. Once this Bitcoin nonsense is over the markets will settle down and we will begin to see positive movements in alt coins.
I expect to see a significant rise in IOTA during the first few months of 2018.
It does not surpise me that Exodus will, or can not, host IOTA.
The mathematics involved for "changing" the money is astronomical. Tangle and Blockchain are just too different worlds.
However, I would not be surprised if someone comes up with a solution.
I also heard a rumour that IOTA themselves were against having IOTA on Exodus because they suspect Govt involvement.
This is a suspicion many have it seems.
Apparently it is suspected - that during the "changing" process from one coin to another - it is recorded somewhere - in order for Governments to see how much crypto money is being bought/sold and stored. I have not heard of this until I did some research on this on your behalf. It seems that it is a bit of a conspiracy theory at the moment and I am not sure what the Govt could do about it anyway.
Crypto currency enthusiasts are fierce about privacy so it could be just paranoia, but as they say, there is no smoke without fire.
Well at least your IOTA is safe and is hidden away from prying eyes.
Thanks for keeping me up to date.
Unfortunately I couldn't install IOTA wallet. Windows 32 bit not supported :( What can I do now?
Super news @arthuradamson! I have the Iota white paper there taking dust, still waiting to be read..however technicalities apart, I own and have big faith in this coin, which seems to me way more forward than many others (go tangle!). I don't know, I feel like doubling my position after reading this.. your post is tempting me like the voice of a siren! Surely that's a great PT. However, after my trips in the 3D printing stocks hype, I started looking at the price targets with a bit of sane diffidence ;-)
IOTA is going places. The team behind it are of the highest caliber. I guess I man a little proud that the inventor is my countryman - meaning Norwegian. ( I emigrated 18 years ago)
Norwegian people do not go into things half heartedly. They take ages to actually decided but when they do they go all in 110% and for life.
Secondly it is no coincidence that Norway is the world´s wealthiest country, they are geniuses with finance and actually own 4% of the worlds assets. The only reason why people outside Norway dont know about these things is because the Norwegians dont like to shout out about such things.
Norway is a small country so they like to shine when they can - this makes me suspect that he is in contact with the Norwegian Govt about IOTA. If this is true then it would be huge for IOTA as it would make it legit and without having Govt control.
The Norwegian Govt are not control freaks as in many countries today, they believe in freedom and let people shine. If it benefit the country then leave it alone is their motto.
Norwegians play the long steady game and they always win. They are not stupid. Check out the national wealth on Google if you dont believe me.
I would not be surprised if we hear more in the future of the Norwegian connection with IOTA.
Ok, now officially I not only feel like doubling my position, but also to emigrate in Norway! Thank you for the info Arthur, I will digest them with some proper DD ;-)
I've just installed my IOTA wallet on my Samsung phone. And, finally, I found the secondary password for my Blockchain wallet, so I have liquid BTC, too! (I thought my BTC was lost forever, and now I'm sooo glad!) Next step is Bitfinex :)
Wow fantastic news, I am very happy for you.
To have access to your Bitcoin again, that was like winning the lottery ha ha - good luck on Bitfinex
informative post. Thans for sharing @arthuradamson
Glad you got something positive from it : )
Arthur, my experience with IOTA has been a complete nightmare. I first bought some on bitfinex back in June and left it there for a while. Then just recently I went to sell it and discovered that bitfinex was not allowing any more transactions for U.S. based accounts (no email notification ever received). Thus, I decided to open an IOTA wallet and tranfer the tokens to the wallet, which was slightly difficult, but not unbearable. Then I opened an account at binance so I could sell some of them. It took over a week and 6 reattachments and one reposting (or whatever it's called) to transfer the tokens and get confirmation. Now what shows on my binance account is ONE MILLIONTH the amount of IOTA that I actually transferred. Binance is of little to no help in resolving this issue. I am wondering if you have seen this before. From where I sit, IOTA is almost completely unusable, very unreliable, and overpriced. I would like to sell most of my IOTA before the crowd realizes this and keep a few as a free lottery ticket. Thanks.
