“PESCE FRESCO!”

Today, and last night, is all about the fish, but hopefully today’s home cooked seafood will be a huge improvement from last nights prison style buffet served up in town for their annual fish festival. I won’t go on about it as too much but I’ve honestly never been served a worse tray of food that the one I was charged £20 for last night. Crazy to think that from a nation that have so much pride and passion for food, you would think there would be a law to protect people from the kind of food we had last night. Nonetheless, the street entertainment was fun and the atmosphere as always was great.

To make up for last night, we decided to buy some fresh fish from the guy who comes to our apartment complex every morning and shouts out ”pesce fresco!”. True to his word, this guy has sold us some amazing cuts of swordfish and some beautiful looking calamari, which my Mrs is cooking up right this very moment 🇮🇹 👩‍🍳 We have a nice bottle of rose wine, the sun is shining, and I am feeling spoiled with the gifts of life that are afforded to me on this wonderful planet.

I work hard when I at home and so does my good lady and for the past two weeks we have reaped the rewards of our labour. Italy has blessed us with a wonderful experience once more and I look forward to coming here again in the future.

Here’s to good living and appreciating every moment whether they be good or bad 🥂
