Macrophotography ~ Green tortoise beetle mating

Hello my steemit friends.

Today I am going to post about the green tortoise beetle that is mating.
I found this tortoise beetle in a kale plant in my yard.
Some of the photos I got, I took with my smartphone. Because the size is very small, I added a macro lens on the smartphone.

Below I share some macro photos and a few reviews about the green tortoise beetle.

The tortoise beetle is so named because of its resemblance to the tortoise.

Phylum : Arthropoda (Arthropods)
Class : Insecta (Insects)
Ordo : Coleoptera (Beetles)
Subordo : Polyphaga (Water, Rove, Scarab, Longhorn, Leaf and Snout Beetles)
Superfamily : Chrysomeloidea (Long-horned and Leaf Beetles)
Family : Chrysomelidae (Leaf Beetles)
Subfamily : Cassidinae (Tortoise Beetles and the Hispines)
Tribe : Cassidini (Tortoise Beetles)
Genus : Cassida
Species : Cassida circumdata (Herbst, 1799)

The growing time from egg to adult beetle takes about 40 days. Eggs are attached to each other at the bottom of the leaf. Egg size about 1 mm, usually hatch in the span of 5 to 10 days. while its larvae mature about 14 to 21 days.

The damage caused to the leaves of kangkung is seen by the formation of many small holes to large. This hole is formed because it is eaten by the beetle.
