SC-S29/W2- Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : My School Days
Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : My School Days
Welcome to this post to remember my school days. To remember is to live, and something I am grateful to my parents for is my education. In addition, classmates became friends and even brothers.

My early and primary school years took place in a private institution. Previously in my city, getting into the University of Zulia was easier if you graduated from a public high school; finding places wasn't easy.

That's why I clearly remember the registration process to study the fifth year at the Hermagoras Chavez High School, my mom got up early to be able to get my place, but the special moment was the first day of classes of that school period, because she accompanied me, she wrote on the back of my notebook "who loves you and will always be there, your General Gomez".
It was special because she was always very demanding. That day I felt scared; it was a very demanding high school, and my performance in the two years I had left to complete my high school diploma would determine my admission to university. She gave me confidence, and it was part of a day I will never forget.
As a student, I always felt committed to getting good grades, respecting educational regulations, being responsible, and focusing on myself. I went through difficult situations, such as constant bullying because of my physical appearance, but that didn't define me, and I showed with my grades that my intention was always to be the best in the class.

My biggest fear was thinking that I wouldn't get into the best public university in my state, that if that happened I would disappoint my parents, that I would be left without a vision for the future because I didn't have a backup plan; but when I received my high school diploma from the Republic, I got my place at the desired university.
A teacher who inspired me was my fourth-grade teacher, whom I now call Daddy Hendry. Despite being a man with a strong character, during our free time he would play with us, listen to us, and support us in the most difficult subjects.
He currently continues to teach at a Catholic school and I know that he maintains the same dedication with which he educated us in the past. I admire him because he taught me that it is possible to educate with joy and without so many restrictions within the classroom.
My mother didn't like me meeting in groups to do schoolwork, but when it was mandatory, she had no choice but to accept that I went to other classmates' houses to do the activities; in a math assignment, I was the one who did eighty percent of everything, when it was going to be handed to the teacher, I checked the names of the members and to my surprise, mine was not there.

From that bitter experience I learned to stand behind my work, not to trust everyone, not to do what I don't like being done to me, to be cautious and not to allow trust to be abused.
I will always be grateful to my parents for my education; it was important to them that I study and train professionally. Thanks to their teachings and those of all my teachers, I am a woman with values, ethics, vocation, and love for what I do. I am proud to be a graduate in Special Education.
My sincerest wish is that my country improves so that my children feel that getting an education at university and obtaining a degree is important, because they will be able to work and enjoy a decent salary, not only for themselves but for all young people.
I invite @eglis, @yulexys21 and @adeljose to participate in the challenges.

Greetings,
Thank you so much for participating in the contest.
You mentioned the importance of family education and the role of parents at the beginning, which I liked the most. The words of your mother written on the back of the notebook are an inspiration for you.
As a student, your sense of responsibility, discipline and focus on good results are your good qualities. Even though you mentioned the experience of bullying because of your physical appearance, you did not show yourself as weak, but rather showed self-respect and a strong mentality, which is commendable.
