TRASIMENO LAKE: photos of an enchanting italian landscape
WHERE: Italy
HOW: I started from Siena, Tuscany - so I was not too far - and I took only 1 hour 15 minutes by car.
ROUTE TOUR: San Feliciano a quaint fishing village - Passignano sul Trasimeno and Castiglione del Lago that are the largest and populous countries of the lake - Magione where there is the castle of the Knights of the Order of Malta
MORE DETAILS: The Trasimeno Lake is located in the center of Italy, in the province of Perugia, in the Umbria region, called also the Green Heart of Italy, and it represented the largest lake in central Italy.
Lord Byron wrote about it as a "silvery veil".
I've been there 2 years ago during winter, so I haven't done some of the recommended things, but I enjoyed in peace these places and its nature, that in another times in year are very crowded.
I spent many hours walking along the lake front kissed by a warm sun, strolling through the narrow streets of the picturesque villages around the lake and shooting special photos.
I want to share with you those pictures that best represent those places, as well as the best that I've done!
Many of follow photos were taken in San Feliciano, along its lake front. The last one, instead, shows the Lake on the side of Passignano.
If you are in Italy, I suggest you a visit there...you will be amazed!
