Celestial challenge - AGRICULTURE MECHANIZATION.. A NEW YEAR APPROACH.

Let's talk about mechanization in agriculture today!
Thanks to @sirknight for the initiation of this #celestialchallenge where we get to appreciate and talk about agriculture.

Farmers who have access to improved agricultural tools and powered technologies can shift from subsistence farming to more market-oriented farming, making the agricultural sector more attractive to rural youth. Sustainable mechanization supports the development of food supply chains through improved agricultural practices for increased production and enhanced food security.

Farm mechanization is a term used in a very broad’ sense. It not only includes the use of machines, whether mobile or immobile, small or large, run by power and used for tillage operations, harvesting and thrashing but also includes power lifts for irrigation, trucks for haulage of farm produce, processing machines, dairy appliances for cream separating, butter making, oil pressing, cotton ginning, rice hulling, and even various electrical home appliances like radios, irons, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and hot plates.”

Agricultural mechanization reduces drudgery which hitherto makes it difficult for large scale food production and which has also been making it difficult for Nigeria to meet her food requirement for her teeming population.

In order to solve the problem of drudgery and other problems associated with food production in Nigeria, various measures has been introduced to combat these problems through mechanization.

Don't just fold your hands and eat good food because you are privileged to be able to buy them... Try to do something for agriculture by starting from your backyard to your neighbourhood and even unto agencies.
Your little effort and mine becomes a collective effort and together we will be able to make food readily available for even the less previledged.

Agriculture is key to life sustenance.
