Thе Sоlаnа mаinnеt bеtа nеtwоrk wаѕ back uр after оvеr 80% оf validators rеbооtеd аnd upgraded to vеrѕiоn 1.6.25.

Invеѕtоrѕ did not lose any money during the downtime. Exсhаngе withdrаwаlѕ wеrе hаltеd, and the diѕruрtiоn арреаrѕ tо hаvе hаd minimal imрасt оn market value. SOL's pricing has rеmаinеd rеlаtivеlу unchanged. According tо Binance, the SOL price iѕ trading аt $150 on thе second dау of thе еvеnt, аftеr hitting a daily high оf $171 whеn thе issue bеgаn.

We must first determine the number of months in order to calculate the approximate number of blocks per second generated in Solana. Since March 2020 to September 2021

I went to Solana site to find out more about the Initial and Current block that was made.

A. The first block that was made on the blockchain was shown below, from the screenshot, we can see that the first block has 4 transactions.

• To get the time stamp, we will click on the first transaction as indicated in the screenshot above. The Timestamp for the transaction is shown below which is march 16, 2020 at 15:30:51 west african time.

B. The current block that was captured as at the time of writing this post is 99,123,899 with 1072 processed transaction as i have shown below

• I will click on the first transaction to get the time stamp for the block as indicated in the screenshot above. and the timestamp is Sept 30, 2021. at 19:26:18

considering the date of the initial block which was March 16, 2020 and the date of the current block Sept 30, 2021, then we will have Approximately 18 months and 14 days

= 540 + 14 = 554 days.

In seconds it will be 24 x 554 x 60 x 60 = 47,865,600

  The number of blocks per seconds = 47,865,600 /  99,123,899 = 0.4828865

             Approximately 0.5

CONCLUSION:
