Successful male culture that is not amis with bioflok

Catfish breeders in Ponorogo use unusual cultivation methods, but produce extraordinary turnover. He raised catfish in a biofloc pond.
Riki explained that this cultivation was carried out in ponds using biofloc systems. This system was introduced by Minister Susi Pudjiastuti since last year.
"I use the bioflok system, so my pool is always clean, it doesn't smell fishy.
The shape of the pool is different. "If it is generally a box-shaped pond, my pool is round in shape with a tarpaulin as a container of water," he explained.
Such pools are considered more practical and save space. For one round fish pond with a diameter of 3 meters, it can accommodate 3-5 thousand catfish.

After plunging alone, the man who was familiarly called Udin knew a number of advantages that this system had. First, why is it always clean? One of them is because of the man's sewage system. He explained that catfish manure which usually settles under will be released through a special pipe.
"Before each feed is given, the pipe that is connected out of the pond is opened, then it spurts out water with dirt. On the other hand, the pool continues to add water, it becomes clean without draining. This is called the bioflok system," he explained.
In addition, each pool is also equipped with an aerator to increase the supply of air in the water. According to Udin, this effort can also make big fast fish.
"Use an aerator so you don't need to drain the dirty pool water often. Just throw a little and add water. The pool will be clean again," he added.
Not only that, the water coming out of the pipe along with catfish manure can be directly used as organic fertilizer.
adding another advantage of the bioflok system is the feed provided. This feed is mixed with prebiotic solution from its own concoction, spices such as turmeric, kencur, ginger and ginger.
"So the pellets (catfish feed, red) are soaked first with this prebiotic liquid to expand and reduce the amount of excessive feed consumption while making the catfish not smell fishy," he said.
In one day, catfish in one pond owned by Udin were able to spend 8-9 kg of pellets which had been soaked in prebiotic solution. By soaking in this solution, catfish feed can be reduced by up to 20 percent, but the fish is full.
Feeding catfish is only done twice a day, namely in the morning at 7:00 a.m. and at night at around 7:00 p.m.
"Feeding must indeed be scheduled at 12 hours. If not, catfish will increase in size because they are often fed. If it's great, it won't sell," he said.

Moreover, the type of catfish that is cultivated by Udin is a type of sangkuriang which is imported directly from Kediri. "This type of sangkuriang is easier to maintain and faster to harvest, so it is suitable for farmers. With biofloc, 3-4 months can be harvested because it cannot be more than that. If not, catfish will be large in size," he added.
Because the size is not too large and not fishy, the catfish from Udin's cultivation also get the hearts of consumers. No wonder the turnover that Udin made from raising catfish reached Rp. 18 million from the sale of 1.2 tons of catfish per month.
At present, the residents of Coper Village, Jetis District have 24 biofloc ponds that are ready to harvest every month.
"The capital is indeed quite large. To make a pool like this at least it costs Rp 3 million per pool.
