Me and my un-offical brother Zeke go way way way back.
We both came to this country as Refugees when we were young teens, we became neighbors and quickly became good friends.
One day my family had to move away to St. Paul, and my visits with Zeke became very rare, until we stopped all contact.

Until last year when I started volunteering at the Young Muslim Collective, I started talking to another volunteer and he looked very familiar to me, then he told me his name.
I screamed with happiness, He screamed as well. We both realized at the same time that we were once friends.
It had been at least 7 years since we last spoke, and we had all day to catch up.
Volunteering time to help out our community had brought us back together, and now we have been volunteering ever since.
Good things happen when you help others.

Jamal i truly respect your struggle
Welcome to the United States!
I hope you enjoy your life here in the states.
I know a few other immigrants and their struggle. But they have improved their lives and led a successful life.
Keep up the good fight my friend
The kings and queens in your ancestral tree smile upon you
Cheers to you Jamal
I wish you the best
