New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) finally achieved their breakthrough via this ballad "Please Don't Go Girl" the lead single from their second album "Hanging Tough". It is also the song that gave them a gradual rise to superstardom. The single became their first top 10 in US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 10. It charted moderately in other countries though peaking at number 77 in Canada.
