There was a noticeable absentee at the gates this past weekend at the Angel Stadium, Malcolm Stewart, who now rides under the number 27. This was signaled in the pre event entry lists but everyone expected him to be ready to go for 2018. Malcolm Stewart took to social media to update everybody.

"I will not be racing Anaheim 1 unfortunately. We ran into a last minute issue that changed everything. I'll give you guys a update on what is going on very soon, I appreciate you fans for sticking by me. Do not worry! You will see me out there."

Malcolm Has not confirmed what the problem was yet, maybe he will update us before round two.

Malcolm has been seen riding a privateer Kawasaki during the off season and it is expected that will be the bike of choice when he does turn up to race. Nothing official has been spoken about it though and Suzuki was his bike of choice last year. A similar pattern is forming though as he was forced to take the privateer route last year due to lack of Factory support and missed the first two rounds. He raced every event from round three though and picked up 15th overall for the season. Not to shabby for someone racing out of their own truck with no Factory team behind them.

I hope to see him at the races soon as i like the guy and he has emerged from his brothers shadow and stood on his own two feet as a rider. He's a likable guy and great to watch so fingers crossed he will get his business in order and get back to the fun.
