PBA Finals: Ginebra won in game 1

Barangays Ginebra and Meralco each attacked.
But ultimately the Gin Kings were able to retain their brilliance to defeat the Bolts, 91-87, in Game One of the 2019 PBA Governor's Cup Finals last night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Resident Justin Brownlee scored 38 points while Japeth Aguilar added 16 markers and three blocks for Ginebra's 1-0 advantage in Meralco's best-of-seven championship series.
Aguilar's last outing with two-time PBA Best Import Allen Durham in 11.3 seconds sealed the win over coach Tim Cone's team.
The Gin Kings took a 27-21 lead from Stanley Pringle in the second period until the Bolts posted a 10-point lead, 61-51, from three-point shots of center Raymond Almazan and Chris Newsome at 5: 13 minutes of the third quarter.
Ginebra recovered and snatched an 80-73 lead in 7:54 minutes of the final canto until Meralco regained an 85-84 advantage behind Newsome in the final 2:38 minutes.
The Bolts finally took an 87-86 advantage from Durham's two free throws with 1:22 left.
Brownlee and Pringle's three charities in the last 23.5 seconds lifted the Gin Kings to 89-87.
Aguilar struck Durham in the Meralco position with 11.3 seconds left, resulting in Brownlee's two foul shots for Ginebra's win.
