What is the national festival of your country? How did it start

How is this festival celebrated? Are there any special rules for celebrating it?

On Diwali, people wear new clothes and worship in temples. They enjoy giving sweets, crackers and gifts to relatives, relatives and friends.Newlyweds celebrate First Diwali at bride's house. Diwali celebration is an expression of love, peace and unity.

Friends and relatives bring us various delicacies from every house and we love to enjoy and eat them. After that we will go to my uncle's house the next day. Various dishes are prepared there due to our visit. After that we all go out together. After leaving the garden or the cinema or someone else's house, we will reach home after three or four days.

Are there any special outfits or foods for celebrating your national festival?

During the year, the most expensive clothes we buy are for Diwali. All clothing stores are very busy during Diwali. Because people purchase a lot of clothes to wear on Diwali. We usually wear our traditional clothes on that day. The day after Diwali we wear our favorite western or other clothes and go out.

Sweets are very popular on Diwali usually everyone makes different kinds of sweets at home and serve them to relatives, friends and neighbors. On Diwali, my mother used to make sweets and snacks like Athirasam, Ladtu, Jalebi, Murukku, Adha, etc., and we would love to eat them too.

Tell us about your favorite memory from celebrating your national festival.

At a young age, on Diwali, when they wake up early in the morning, they rub oil on their heads and take a bath. Me, my sister and my younger brother used to have a competition to see who would burst the firecrackers first, but I would win anyway, I would wake everyone up by bursting firecrackers at 4 am.

After that We will conduct poojas at home and keep a grenade for the poouja. After that, it is a great joy to dress up in new clothes and go to the houses of all the neighbors and friends and leave with Diwali sweets and delicacies. My mother would start preparing sweets two months in advance. When Diwali comes, the houses are cleaned and painted 2 months before. After that they will start doing many things.

Hi @badmintonpro! That's a beautifully detailed post about Diwali! I love how this festival brings everyone together, regardless of their background. Your childhood excitement for fireworks and the preparation of delicious sweets like Athirasam and Jalebi really brings your experience to life. It's great to see how deeply you cherish these traditions. Thank you for sharing and inviting others to celebrate. I wish you the good luck in the contest!

Hello friend, @badmintonpro
I have noticed that many lamps are lit during your Diwali festival. This is one of your pujas which is organized by all traditional religion followers. I had coconut laddoos made from my friend's house after this festival. The Diwali festival of lights and fireworks look great. This laddoos tastes great, but I didn't know that this dessert starts its preparation process long ago.
