There are moments in life when our entire world is paused so that we can look at things with caution and appreciate the selfless deeds of the very few that still see it as a point to do them.

I have been scouting blockchain gems for some days now and just yesterday, I found one very precious one. It’s a football academy called AGFAcademy (Andre Gray Football Academy); it is a football coaching academy that uses blockchain technology to assist underprivileged children and even adults from all over the world. The project is charity based and from what I’ve gathered, over $7500 USD has been paid out in rewards through the STEEM blockchain within the first 4 months. Over 200 trainees have created more than 700 drill posts from over 40 different countries.

I would like to believe that I’m not standing alone from the position (of believing) that blockchain technology is causing a revolution and shaking the super-structures of our contemporary society. The undermining of government’s oversight and eradication of third-party interference are both worthy of admiration.

In spite of all these wonderful ideas being actualized in the blockchain sphere, it even amazes me the more that newer ideas keep coming up. Ideas like the Andre Gray Football Academy are rare and I would love to see more of it. I think that will be made possible if we can get to listen to the motivation behind the project and get a better understanding of how it was born.

On the 19th and 20th of this same month which is about four days from today, the team that powers the academy on the STEEM blockchain will be making a presentation about AGFAcademy to a group of crypto enthusiasts, educators and investors on one of the biggest blockchain events known as the Nakamoto’s Den in Limassol, Cyprus.

Over a hundred participants will be attending the conference and so many activities will be taking place during the event. Start-up projects and already established ones will compete in their respective categories and synergize their vision to birth even greater projects. Here’s a summary of what the event will be about from the official website of the event;

This February 2018, (we will) in front of a huge crowd of blockchain educators, investors, and innovators; blockchain start-ups will battle to be the winner of Cyprus’ ultimate Digital Startup Battle. While at the same time, established companies will be competing to secure the funding and support of some of the world’s top capital firms. Join us on Cyprus’ greatest-ever blockchain investment and networking summit (event). In the city of Limassol, you’ll meet the people in charge of building a new, transparent and decentralized world!

That’s a place to go find great and amazing ideas for new projects and also secure some funding and support for your projects. I believe the summit will be worth it for all those who will be attending.

The essence of the whole thing is to enrich individuals from all over the world with the adequate knowledge needed to build a completely decentralized world. The football academy that I mentioned earlier is far ahead of others as far as this is concerned. Who would have imagined that a footballer far away in England could give money directly to a poor child in Africa or Asia without having to go through any payment gateways or intermediaries?

The possibilities we can have with the use of blockchain technology is vast and what is yet to be unfolded is far more than what we can see already.

Are you interested in this disruptive blockchain technology and feel like you have some time to spare to attend the Cyprus blockchain event known as Nakamoto’s Den? My greatest belief is that it is worth every time spent and every resource you can ever invest.

Tickets to the event are still available on their official website and you can also book an accommodation space in some of the best hotels in the city of Limassol.
