The traditional cake of aceh "Keukarah"

Hi steemian, this time I will give the recipe to make the karah cake, this karah cake is aceh traditional cake.

Here are the materials needed:

  • 250 gr rice flour
  • 500 grams of sugar
  • Right amount of oil
  • ½ liter of water

Special tools:

  • Coconut shell with many holes (karah cake mold)

How to Make a Genuine Kush Cake Aceh:

  • Before the cake is made, the rice is soaked for 1 night.
  • Then washed out until the water is clear, then drain.
  • After that, the rice is pounded with dimples until smooth.
  • Furthermore, the flour is sifted and dried in the sun to dry.
  • Then the flour is filtered once more and ready to be processed into dough.
  • The next step, mix the flour and sugar and stir well and added water little by little until the dough is flat and thickened.
  • Then put the dough into the pre-prepared mold.
  • Once inserted into the mold, the dough can be directly fried while turning the tin cake circle the frying pan with ½ cm thickness.
  • If it is cooked, remove and drain.
  • Cake Khas Aceh is ready to be served.
