Glowing Steemit Neon Sign - Different Photoshop Techniques Series Part No. 2

I always loved seeing those neon signs, flashing in front of different shops.Thinking about it I got an idea that it would be cool seeing Steemit in a neon sign so i made one. In the next few lines you can see how it went.

Once again i open up a blak page and start thinking about how i should make the whole sign. Which colors to use and in what style.

At first i put on some kind of a romb shape on there and another one in a different color on top of it. The next thing i did was decide how do i want my text to look like. I already had something planed in my head and i wanted them to go well with the shape i decided for the whole sign so i made them a little diagonal.

So i've got everything sent on the canvas and now it's time to give it that neon sign look. So the first thing i did was make a glowing border around the whole sign. Now i had to do the same thing with the letters. After that was done something was missing and i felt like the whole piece was in need for some depth so i put on a texture on the sign to give it a more realistic look.

It already looked pretty good but it needed something more so i added a texture of a wall on the background. Now the neon sign had to look like it was standing on that wall i had to give it a sligh shadow to make it pop out more. As you can see it worked out very well. The steemit letters kinda werent how i wanted them to be so i added almost unvisable black border under the letters what gave the look like they were connected to something.

 This was the final result. Some of the finishing touches were making the background even more dark so the main object looked even more awesome. When i start i just can't stop myself so i also made a socket and the cable comming from the sign. In the end this gave it a even better look of the whole wallpaper.
