Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 25th November, 2022(Friday)

Introduction

I extend a very warm greeting to all of my fellow Steemians in this space. I trust we are all having a fabulous week, just like me.
It's my opportunity to share with the entire community about my best day of the week. I refused to be left out of this challenge because I actually had one; otherwise, I wouldn't have decided to participate. Details in a jiff

My best day of the week, how it started

The day:

My favorite day of the week to write about is last Thursday, the 17th day of November 2022. I wouldn't have been referring to this day as the best day, not even a just-okay day for me, if not for the later swing in my mood.

How it started:

I woke up on the morning of that day feeling a little bit hungry; this was so obvious to me because I ate little last night (Wednesday).
Now, I normally publish a post on Steemit every morning, except when I'm not on good terms with myself, such as when I'm hungry or experiencing negative feelings. One thing that you should understand by now is that I was left with no money in my account or wallet. I was that broke.

This led to me being bored since I wasn't interested in doing anything because I was hungry, and to make matters worse, there was no single hope for me. It was critical. But then something happened.
It was around noon, precisely 11:41, when I got a call from my brother, who lives a bit far from me. He asked to come over since he didn't go to work that day.

The moment of Mood swings

It took him not too much time to arrive at my place, and after telling him how hungry and bored I've been since morning, he suggested we go get some foodstuffs for cooking, and we did just that. We bought all that we wanted, all bills on him (this is very important to say). We returned home and started cooking. Since it was a kind of team cooking, it took us just about 41 minutes to prepare a maximum budget soup with eba (garri).

Though it was fast to prepare, it was still yummy, and we both enjoyed the meal.
After eating, we converse about social media trends. Notable to talk about was the forthcoming World Cup tournament and the role of the African teams that qualified. It was fun-filled.

A visit to the beach

After a while, I suggested we visit one of the beaches on the island, which I hadn't been to since moving to this region, and he agreed. We actually trekked down to the beach; it's not too far. We got there at 17:03, and I love what I saw.

Things I saw

  • A big ship:✓

The Ship. What3words-Bonny River

It was my first time seeing such a big ship in real life. I also saw a barge that imports goods to this island.
As for the ship, I learned that it has spoiled and has been parked there for some years. I was told that the ship, while traveling, was seized by the community upon reaching their area for reasons unknown to me.
The ship is very big, as you can see. I had the desire to jump in at once upon sighting it, but I wouldn't have been allowed.

  • A long barge:✓

I also saw a very long barge. This barge imports goods and materials of different sorts to the island. About the barge, I was told that it comes just twice a week, most often on Mondays and Thursdays. It was amazing watching the people offload goods from the barge down to the shore and how fast they were doing it even though everyone was on their goods.

People offloading goods

Though it was nice to watch at the same time, I understood that it was kind of risky because of some of the materials that were being offloaded. Some were dangerous, such as building materials, which were likely to injure someone considering the fact that they were offloading them very fast.

All things considered, watching it was a wonderful moment. We decided to return home at 18:09.

Conclusion

This was how my best day of the week went. It started bad but ended up being one of the best.
It remains a lesson for me to always expect the best out of the day and not determine the day because of how it started or a small swing in mood.
