He moved in with his aunt, and when firmly agisted,
He tried to relax, not become bitter and twisted.
His good lady had shown him to the door,
He was down in the dumps, down on the floor.
“You can get right out, move in with your floozy,”
“That could be anyone, I know you’re not choosy!”

Wilbur Wastespace glared at his aunt,
“Please don’t judge me, looking aslant,”
“Yes, my dear wife has thrown me out,”
“But I am not guilty, beyond all doubt!”
“It does take two to Tango,”
“But, perhaps, more to dance Fandango,”
“For such is a lively Spanish dance,”
“With much rapid movement as you do prance.”

“Wilbur, you were always a wretch,”
“All who know you, know that facts you do stretch!”
“So why don’t you ‘fess up, say you were wrong,”
“A song of contrition, for you such a song!”
“But, Aunty all I did was to say I was tired,”
“How could I wind up being so messy and mired?”
“I think my dear wife misconstrued what I did say,”
“Misconstruction holding to this very day!”
“She must have thought I was tired of HER!”
“Which is far from the truth as facts will infer.”
“My good lady, Marigold Wastespace,”
“Should well know I consider her an Ace!”
“The Ace of good wives, indeed, that I do!”
“Knowing such, now, rectification we’ll pursue!”
But Marigold was having none of that.
She’d heard it all before, it was all Old Hat!
