A Magical Journey With My Kids

A couple of months ago my kids asked me if they could watch the Harry Potter movie on Netflix. I casually said yes, then suddenly screamed at them just as the opening credits started... STOP! Wait, you can’t watch it! I suddenly realised what I had almost done. I had almost robbed my kids of the chance to read the Harry Potter series without having seen the movies!!!

My kids were pretty annoyed with my sudden change of mind, but I patted myself on the back and assured them they would understand soon why I had stopped them.

Luckily, Santa bought them the complete series for Christmas. I have been really busy with work lately so I really look forward to reading to them each night. Every night we go back to Hogwarts together. We’ve just finished the 3rd book, and it’s just as good as I’d remembered!!

I love watching my kid’s faces when there is a new twist - Harry Potter has always been awesome, but Harry Potter with your kids is something to cherish forever.

Ok 👍

I need someone to put me on dat train.... lovely shoot

I haven't read or watched so maybe I should.....always prefer reading though.

You are a good dad.

The books are great. They came out when I was a kid and everyone raved about them. I didn’t think they were my kind of book so I took a while to read them. But once I did I understood what everyone was raving about.

PS - thanks, but I’m a mum, not a dad :)

Aaaaaahhhhh. Sorry mom.

I will get to reading.

Haha - that’s ok. :)
