CREATING NICHE ON STEEMIT : HOW AND WHY DO I NEED TO CREATE NICHE ON STEEMIT?

Hello my fellow great Steemians, its your Naija Lady, @bekky.

Today, I will be sharing with you what I was able to learn since I have been away. I was opportuned to partake in a Mentorship Class on a discord channel : @bluewaves by @ogochukwu and the topic was on how we gather our post content but one thing lead to another, everyone was giving their way of gathering their post content.

Amongst which someone stated that he was usually inspired by happenings in his environment, another said he sits and try getting points as they flow.

This topic led us unto another which was on creating niche.

HOW DO YOU CREATE NICHE?

I wish to believe that you and I know what niche mean, because I was and still not yet a Science student but I was taught in my Biology class, I will like to remind us of the meaning once again.

According to the English Dicyionary:

niche is a job or position that is very suitable for someone, especially one that they like

OR

an area or position that is exactly suitable for a small group of the same type - be it habitat or house

From the definitions above, we all can see a single word coming up in the two differnt definitions, which is "SUITABLE".

To create your niche on steemit, you need to check on yourself and pick up what exactly you feel you can blog about without any stress.

This is very possible because every individual has one or two things they can really deal with without any problem. There is something you know either by learning it or just your talent that you can use in making yourself distinguished here on the steemit planet.

I will be giving some people whom I have come across here on steemit, that once I see the link to their post, I can tell what they have blogged about. To list few for example:

• @sweetssj blogs about travel and food

• @papa-pepper blogs on contest and homestead

• @tfame blogs about gaming

• @camzy blogs about his portrait talent

• @peterwrites blog is known for poem
  and so much more on steemit community that blogs about what they love doing.

When you get to know about these people, you would found out they really do blog about things that are realated not from one to another entirely diffrent topic.

I know I am also guilty of this!

In conclusion on how to create your own niche, I believe, there is something in you (talent) that you can use or is there a business you are into, why not take that as a background to your niche creation.

Do not quote me wrong, I am not saying you cannot be inspired by other things like your environment, books or even a music to put up a post but be known for something unique in your community.

WHY CREATE NICHE ON STEEMIT?

You might be having the thought that

why should I have my niche, when everyone is free to blog on anything and get paid?

Well, I am glad to tell you, go take a look at some steemians who has built their niche, you would see that they are making it and other steemians are always clustering around their blog just for attention.

Now you know just one little secret about connectivity on steemit community.

Another crucial reason you have to create your own niche is that it makes blogging easier for you. Take for example, I as an Accountant, with a knowledge in Fashion Designing and mainly Catering Services: to blog on any of these three will not be something difficult for me.

When other steemians knows your blog for something unique then, you are in the right point of getting followers without begging.

Now that you know how to and why you need to create your niche on steemit, I will like to slip this in that, you do not need to blog every hour of the day before you will make it and moreso most steemians are here for the money, and that is not the real pay here but the relationship you have built with other steemians not a must with whales.

Another thing before I drop my pen is that learn to comment on other steemians post even though it took me a long time to know but now that I know I am sharing with you too. Do not just spam the steemians blogging page but leave a reasonable and correlating comment: the steemian is say "white" and you are commenting "black", now you see they way far different.
