"Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 02-10-2024"

Grandma was lay to rest, living the world to have eternal rest. Saturday 28-09-2024 was a day to bid farewell to grandma, we all got prepare early morning in honor of late Madam Affiong Akpan Peter. Mma matron, as she was fondly called was a great woman of her time, who takes everything common, no matter what you do to grandma, she will never pronounce bad words against you.

That's alone makes a lot of people to love grandma. Before the 10:00am in the morning, everything was set and grandma was lay outside so as to begin the funeral proper. The funeral was conducted by Christ Apostolic Freedom Church Nigeria (CAFCON), Ikot Akpan Ishiet District.

This was grandma church, the members did well by coming out early to give mma the last honor. Apostle V.E. Job who was the officiating minister made every item in the program to be fast in order for those who comes from a far distance may return back early.

By pass 3pm, grandma was taken by the caretaker to the graveyard, accompany with a group of brass band, family, choirester, friends etc. when this was done, massive entertainment were carryout. Is a sorrowful thing when you lost someone but in the case of grandma it was a celebration.

Though, the entire family, church, friends, society at large as miss her, she has live a good legacies behind. I called it celebration because grandma live her family at the age of 83years which shows that she fought a good fight while she was alive. She was mourn by her children, grandchildren, greatgrand children, nice, son in-law, daughter in-law and many more.

My happiness on this day was, grandma was given the last respect on earth, despite the summer season that we are, God shows us mercy and didn't allow rain to fall. The funeral ended with a sunny weather. Once again, bye bye mma matron, esiere...o.
