The Tale of Two Trees
by Stanislav Balakchiev (#Me)

There was once a certain man named Dee

who thought to plant a tree

in his backard.

So the man named Dee

did indeed plant a tree

in his backyard,

two of them next to each other.

The years went by

and the trees grew tall,

reaching to the clouds on high

and leafing with a crown of gold.

But the man named Dee

looked upon the fair tree:

How could they have a crown of gold?

Why not he?

So the man named Dee

thought to chop down the tree.

He took an axe from his garden shed,

reaised it up to have it fall

on his own head.

There was once a certain man named Dee

who laid down beside a green tree

in his backyard.

Yet one day, these green trees shall fall,

and the man named Dee will rise above them all.
