If parents look back, then for many the three years before primary school age are the most beautiful. Still, between the ages of three and six, most children still do a lot of work, but they also enjoy almost complete happiness, and it's great to see them grow and develop on a daily basis.

The diapers are scrapped, the defiance phase is over, the school time has not started yet - a great time for parents and children. Of course, although a child always means work and stress, this age range is usually one of the most relaxed in living with children. That's the way it is for most of the parents. However, this can also be a challenging time, for example, when children need to be helped to catch up on developmental delays.

Goodbye to diapers and defiance - relaxation is in sight

Little kids, little worries, big kids, big worries - that's an old and very true saying. An exception to this is often the age range of three to six years. Sure, there are also problems to overcome in this time, but usually the coexistence is quite relaxed and easy. The reasons are obvious: At the age of three most children have the defiance phase behind them, diapers are also a thing of the past or at least needed only at night. The child becomes physically more enduring, the motor skills are constantly improving. Mentally, children also develop very positively during this time. In this way, they become more and more understanding, they can postpone their own needs in favor of others, and they have their own constructive ideas that they want to realize.

Nevertheless, parents are still the linchpin of their world. Most children are still quite cooperative at this age and ready to adapt to their parents' wishes. All the more so if they are involved in decisions and have a firm say.

More space for the parents

On the one hand, having fun with children between the ages of three and six years is fun, but on the other hand there is more and more free space for the parents. At this age children can also be looked after overnight by a reliable babysitter. Many children start preschool to meet and give their parents a free afternoon. The very brave ones even stay overnight with their best friend or best friend. Thus, there are occasional opportunities for the parents to experience the relationship and to do something alone. This, in turn, benefits the child, because satisfied parents are patient parents.

Childhood live without pressure

Kindergarten children can usually be carefree children if their parents leave them. If you do not belong to the kind of parents who would like to provide the child with all conceivable benefits at an early age, they can now get to know each other relaxed and without pressure and their lives. Children do not know stress at this age, unless you overwhelm them. Then psychic or even physical reactions can occur, which parents should react to. Otherwise it can lead to stress-related problems and habits, which must be remedied later in lengthy therapy work.

Problems in the age group between three and six years

Of course, even at this age is not always always vain sunshine. It is a time of intensive learning for children. Linguistic and cognitive skills are constantly being developed as well as the motor skills. If there are deficits and delays, you have to react, because now is the best time to solve such problems. Speech therapy, occupational therapy and other therapeutic approaches are usually well suited to compensate for delays in speech development or motor development.

If you have a child between the ages of three and six, enjoy the time! For too soon comes the school pressure from the outside, puberty is inexorably approaching and the above-mentioned adage gets its meaning again: Little children, little worries, big children, big worries.
