What's on your mind? A kind of eating competition? Na, it ain't that, and you'd be wrong if you're thinking He was a food critic because he wasn't, and would still be wrong if you think it was a daring game or a bet. He was just a hungry man looking for food, and when he found food, he ate and got paid, yes!, really paid, not out of pity, but as a reward.

I've lived a little over two decades of which my leaning towards "written art" became manifest towards the tail end of my second decade.

Sometimes I feel strange when suddenly, material properties that have been around me all along look very unfamiliar and differently, like I just didn't take a closer look at them in the past, or as though my eyes were turned inside out and surprisingly they behold sights inexplainable to their virgin lenses.

Ironically, this new view doesn't last longer than 21 secs, until my eyes again restore default settings.

Isn't it funny at such times when my head tells me nothing happened, or, 'twas just an optical illusion?

Well, they say use your head and not be used by your head, and that's why I always let my head out of the game when it has chosen just not to understand, because for sure, that strange view was an inspiration. A possibility that some juice still lie in dry grains.

I've not forgotten my story, "He was paid for eating", we're reading it together. That man wasn't hungry because he had no food, aha!, you didn't imagine that right? It's okay. He had food, yet he sort food. Hardly did he realize he'd get some pay for watering a plant on a rainy day. And yet I am that man.

It was about the noon hours of October 4th 2017 when I signed up for #steemit after a friend left a faint trace on a dry part, a trace that nearly vanished had I not followed up briskly. And that was it, a young man surrounded by platforms on which to view, having sighted the scenery from these platforms still solicited for something better but the unsolicited became the chief corner stone - #steemit.

It felt like I've found food, good food, something better that what I have always had and I just couldn't wait to eat. I ate and ate and ate, I didn't know, but it seemed I was getting paid. People around me watched in amazement, the welcome was awesome, the community bustled with life, I felt satisfied.

I am that man. You steemians are the very nice people. Steemit is the community; the better platform. The tasty posts y'all make here put together is the food I couldn't stop eating. The pay is the steemit's various rewards.
