Footy Talks - Cause to be concerned?

Liverpool has wrapped up the pre-season friendly matches by winning 3, losing 3 and drawing 1 match. It wasn't the best of results that they can hoped for, and some fans will surely have doubts whether the team can seriously mounts a challenge to win the league and other trophies too.

I myself and I believe other Liverpool fans as well are a bit concerned about the team's performance, which clearly shows the team's lacks in depth and quality. The non-availability of players such as Firmino, Salah, Mane and Allison clearly shows how much the team depended on them. Can other players steps up and maintains the quality of the team when these players are being sidelined due to injuries or suspensions? Its a cause to be concerned of, but is Liverpool really that bad?

This coming season, Liverpool seems to be content with the number and quality of the current team. Whilst other teams are strengthening theirs, Liverpool however has only bought two young players which are meant for the future. Even the manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that there won't be anymore addition to the first team for the time being.

Is this good or bad news to Liverpool? Or does this shows that Klopp has full confidence that his current star players, the backup players and even the youngsters is good enough to challenge all four fronts? So, should Liverpool fans be concerned with those bad friendly matches results? We might get hints and even some answers to these questions when Liverpool meets Manchester City in the Charity Shield on the 4th August.
