Campus Connect Engagement Contest Week 6 - My Favorite and Most Helpful Tech Device On Campus By @bibsonhabib
Greetings members of this wonderful community, today I would be writing on my favorite device on campus, let’s get started.
A device is any tool or instrument designed for a particular purpose. Devices mostly come in the form of measuring tools and electronic devices to make life easier and simpler. Examples of electronic devices include calculators, mobile phones and computers. The non electronic devices can include tape measures, spammers etc.
My favorite device on campus is a Hewlett-Packard (HP) Probook Core i5, 7th generation laptop. It is ash in color with a 15.6 inch screen.
My favorite device
The laptop’s uniqueness can be noticed from it’s speed and easy accessibility. It has a CPU speed of 2.5 GHz, this is used to measure the number of cycles a CPU completes per second. A 2.5Ghz would complete a CPU cycle of 2.5 billion times in a second.
This makes using my laptop very fast when it comes to running programs.
My laptop uses an 8 gigabyte RAMand an intel core i5 processor. These specifications are very useful to me when it comes to running multiple programs on the computer.
its specs
A higher RAM would allow me to open multiple applications on the computer and be able to use each of them without facing any challenges.
Laptops with lesser RAM would become slow when too many applications are running on the computer’s interface. The computer would sometimes prompt you to close some applications before you can open new applications.
My PC also uses a 1.5GB intel graphics card and also a 64bit operating system. The graphics card is very useful when it comes to playing video games.
It gives me this crystal clear images; it makes the characters look very lively, making playing the game very interesting.
The 64 bit operating system is a microprocessor that processes data packets 64 bits at a time.
This results in fast data exchanges and also high a high CPU clock speed which helps me to run and debug codes and programs easily. It also facilitates easy development of systems and applications.

As a final year Bsc Computer Science student, my laptop is the best friend and companion. I make my life easy and convenient on campus. I use it to support my side hustle which is Steemit. I make something from Steemit which makes my stay on campus comfortable.
Being a computer science student, I also use it to develop real life applications to solve problems within my campus.
My current application is a dues collection system for the Computer Science Society (CSS) to facilitate easy collection and also keep accurate records of students. This prepares me for the outside job market.
Another reason I love asking my laptop is because it is a source of entertainment for me. I mostly use it to play video games and also watch movies with friends to kill my boredom. Playing video games with friends also makes the bond stronger.
In conclusion, my laptop makes my stay on campus possible. I can say it’s then best device I have ever had as a gift from my parents.
