Many are those that are difficult to contact when one has a problem. According to the scriptures, Abigail was very approachable , accessible and generous. One of her husbands servants to her that happened in the field. Abigail recognized the likely consequences of her husband's behaviour, so she went into action to avert the impending danger that now threatened her household.

Nabal's results provoked David into taking a rash decision .He set out to kill Nabal. David acted in an anger, but a man's anger does not bring the righteous act that God desires. (James 1:20)

But David paused to listen to Abigail's passionate intercession for her husband and her entire family . Abigail was so wise that she started to applaud David for the good services he had done against the enemies of their nation. David listen to her because of her humility and submission. Abigail indeed the was a woman of substance who is wise and God fearing too.

She pointed out that David should not seek vengeance himself but rather should allow the ways and the will of God to prevail. David anger was pacified and her words stopped him from committing murder. Does the words from your mouth encourage your brother from getting into sin. Let us all try and be like Abigail.

No matter how right we think we are we must always be careful to stop and listen to others. For sometimes their words can save us a pain and trouble .

We should try to be accessible just as Jesus was. Many a times, we are often inaccessible.

No matter how right we think we are we must always be careful to stop and listen to others. For sometimes their words can save us a pain and trouble .

God urges us to seek peace and holiness without which no one will see God.
