Hello parishioners, peace be with you all today am here once again to share with you the word of God. Things happens and does that in it right time and when the times are hard where do we normally go.

Where would I go but to the Lord!
John 6:60-71:

Jesus now clarifies what eating and drinking means
It is not to cut him up in pieces and eat His flesh. That will count for nothing. Only a spiritual understanding is profitable. It would appear that the problem the Jewelry had was not lack of understanding but unwillingness to accept what Jesus was saying.

Why was it difficult for them to accept ?

We should not insist on reasoning out spiritual things. They are to believed by faith. But what did these people then decide to do..?. Notice that these were not ordinary Jews. But how would you have felt if you were Jesus..?, but he never deceived not even by the inspiring statement Peter made on behalf of the twelve.

VERSE 64-65:

"But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who it was that should betray him."
"And he said, For this cause have I said unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it be given unto him of the Father."

The right time has not yet come
John 7:1-13
On the surface it would appear that our Lord's brethren had good intentions, just some public relations. But Jesus is not deceived, He kept the purpose and God's timetable of His earthly mission constantly in view. He would not be diverted by pressures, either from His brothers or the crowd.

VERSE 11-13

"The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?"
"And there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him: some said, He is a good man; others said, Not so, but he leadeth the multitude astray."
"Yet no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews."

What reasons did He gave to seek public approval

Jesus was hated by the world, but it is more painful that member of His family, who should be most impressed by His blameless life, did not think much about Him. Are you disturbed that your siblings or children have refused to become Christians?. Do not lose heart, continue to pray for them, James and Jude, two of Christ's brothers, soon became disciples
(James 1:1, Jude 1)

Conclusion
Occasions will come in our lives when we also must choose whether to continue in the faith or not. Can our Lord rely on you even if others desert Him?. Why do you think that people feared to freely express their opinion concerning Jesus? Are you bold enough to tell others what you believe about Him?
