Changes That Comes With Wealth
I was having a chat with someone yesterday, and he said he wouldn't change anything if he becomes rich. He made it clear that he would remain himself and would live in the little place he calls home currently including without changing friends but this is not true because when a person has money, a lot of things changes.
The first thing he said he wouldn't change is what he is going to change first. He is going to change his friends and inner circle. You think you are going to stick to the same friend you have, well that's a lie because your wealth would grow gradually and in this period of growth, you would be working on improving yourself which includes making connections. With this, you would not be hanging out with your friends often and soon, those you hang out with will change because you and your friends do not have the same problems or goals anymore so there isn't much to discuss.
When a person gets rich, they would change the type of food they eat. There is a difference in the way the rich eat compared to the way the poor do and for the rich they eat because they want to keep their health, mind, and energy, while the poor eat to survive. Aside food, another thing that would change is look. Trust me it is when you have money that you understand that the way you dress is the way you would be addressed. You do not need to wear designers, but you would wear luxury.
While the person I was chatting with insisted that he would not change his current location, the reality of the matter is when a person changes financial status, one of the things they change is where they live. As a normal person, where you stay is either close to work, or fits your budget but when you start to make money you live in your world. A place built for you to do what you need and you only want to leave when there is a necessity.
Unlike the poor, another thing that would change is mindset. When a person makes money, they understand that life isn't given, it is taken slow, steadily, and better than before. You tend to understand that you need to make things happen for them to happen and you need to invest in yourself. Adding new skills to your previously known skills, and getting good advice is important.
You see, everything changes including where you go for holidays because you wouldn't be found in places you are not supposed to be. You would visit places where you can explore, grow connections, meet new partners and enjoy luxury. When he said nothing would change, I emphasized that even his means of transportation would change because he will need to be at so many places at the same time and in doing this, he needs time on his side so using a helicopter would be a better idea to the airport than booking a ride, using a private car to a meeting would look more prestigious to your investors than hoping on bikes or taxi.
You see, when a person has money and they do not intend to change at all, they will still have to deal with the changes they get from other people because people will start to address you differently from when you did not have money. People would treat you differently either out of respect or envy.
You will be surprised how a lot of things can change when someone starts getting money. In fact, give someone plenty money and you will know who they really are.
Nice piece dear Bimbo
