The Diary Game: Jan. 27| How I Spend My Health Break
For a few days we haven't had any signal or internet connection. The kids at times feel bored from staying all day at home. We have already seen most of the saved movies from the laptop.
The city of Lapu-lapu is under Alert level 3 since there are a lot of cases here. COVID 19 vitus has still been a real nightmare to many of us. After the devastation of the typhoon a lot of us government employee needed a break from all of this. We were given a week of health break and this is how I spent it.
Today my kids and I decided to do something different. What I love about my neighborhood is how people go out and stroll in the afternoon. A lot of kids go out or ride a bike and walk their pets.
Last Christmas I bought my kids skateboard for them to use i stead of spending long time in gadgets and cellphone. So since we don't have internet connection this is a perfect time. We started to stroll and they started using their skateboard. Me on the other hand took the chance to ride a bike.
I plan to spend my health break trying to exercise a bit with the kids. We would use an hour or more to walk, bike and skateboard. I have noticed that spending most of our time being a couch potato had not contributed well in our health.
Well a little sweat won't hurt right, and its actually nice to strolls since it's really windy too. On our way back we saw a lot of things for sale. Well of course my kids wouldn't miss trying this milk tea.
We had one each, good thing I bought enough money. Each regular size milk tea costs about 75 pesos. Well it was worth it since it's delicious.
For me the best thing to make my mental health better is to spend it with my kids and making them happy. I too think they need a health break for being at home all the time. Unlike before where they can go to school and mingle with other children now they spend most of their time at home. Fun can be all sorts of activities, as long as you spend it with the people you love.
