Oficjalny komunikat giełdy BitBay dotyczący aktywacji SegWit 1 sierpnia / BitBay exchange's official announcement about SegWit activation on August 1st

W związku z planowaną na 1 sierpnia aktywacją SegWit informujemy, że BitBay korzysta z portfeli zgodnych z SegWit, tak więc środki klientów są bezpieczne i nie ma konieczności wypłacania ich z kont na giełdzie. Wyjątkiem jest sytuacja, jeśli ktoś chce mieć kontrolę nad ewentualnym powstaniem Bitcoin ABC (UAHF).

Ponadto, doradzamy wstrzymanie się z realizacją wpłat Bitcoinów na 24 godziny przed 1 sierpnia oraz kilka godzin później. BitBay również może zatrzymać księgowanie wpłat oraz wypłat w tym czasie. W najbliższych dniach może również ulec zwiększeniu liczba koniecznych potwierdzeń do zaakceptowania wpłaty na BitBay - monitorujemy sytuację i wprowadzimy taki wymóg, tylko wtedy, gdy będzie to konieczne.

BIP 91 (sygnalizacja SegWit2x) wszedł w piątek 21 lipca w fazę lock-in i został aktywowany w niedzielę 23 lipca. Oznacza to, że od niedzieli wszystkie bloki nie sygnalizujące wsparcia dla SegWit są odrzucane przez sieć. Od tego czasu wszystkie wykopane bloki sygnalizują wsparcie, tzn. 100% bloków wykopanych w ciągu ostatnich 144 (1 dzień) sygnalizuje SegWit.

UAHF (Bitcoin ABC, w skrócie BCC) najprawdopodobniej nie wejdzie w życie. I nie będzie wpierane przez BitBay. UAHF zostało stworzone jako kontra dla UASF i miało zostać uruchomione przez Bitmain w momencie wejścia UASF. UASF miało polegać na tym, że klienci przestają akceptować bloki nie sygnalizujące SegWit, jednak ponieważ od 23 lipca wszystkie bloki nie sygnalizujące wsparcia dla SegWit są odrzucane przez sieć, wobec tego UASF, a przez to i UAHF nie zostanie raczej wprowadzone, a przywoływanie takiej możliwości jest wywoływaniem niepotrzebnego zamieszania.

W przypadku chęci posiadania kontroli nad BCC doradzamy wypłatę środków z giełdy. Gdyby sytuacja uległa zmianie i Bitcoin ABC zdobył by wsparcie sieci rozważymy wspieranie go.

Due to planned activation of SegWit on August 1st, we would like to inform you that BitBay wallets are compatible with SegWit, which means our clients' funds are safe and there’s no need to withdraw them from the exchange accounts. The exception would be a situation when you would like to have control over Bitcoin ABC (UAHF).

Furthermore, we advise you to not request any Bitcoin deposits 24 hours before August 1st, as well as a couple of hours after. BitBay also can suspend deposits and withdrawals during that time. In the next days, a number of confirmations required to process deposits on BitBay can grow as well. We are observing the situation and we will only implement this solution if necessary.

BIP91 (indicating SegWit2x) went into lock-in phase on Friday, July 21st and was activated on Sunday, July 23rd. This means that since Sunday all blocks that do not indicate acceptance for SegWit are rejected by the network. Since then all mined blocks indicate acceptance, which means 100% of mined blocks in last 144 (1 day) indicate SegWit.

UAHF (Bitcoin ABC, BCC for short) most likely will not be created and as such BitBay will not support it. UAHF was created as a counter to UASF and was to be launched by Bitmain at the time of UASF entry. The UASF was meant to mean that customers will stop accepting blocks that did not signal SegWit. But as since July 23, all blocks which not signaling support for SegWit are rejected by the network, so UASF and therefore UAHF will not be introduced and calling for such a possibility can be simply called causing unnecessary confusion.

However, if you would like to gain control over BCC ownership, we advise withdrawing your funds from the exchange. If the situation will change and Bitcoin ABC will gain support from the network, we will consider accepting it on our exchange.
