New Blood Is The Life Blood Of Every Sustainable Orginization

Many of you heard the saying and we do want to retain and attract new users. I thought about the start to the new year and a new approach or strategy to Steemit. For the past month or so I have tired to vote, resteem, and share a new user's post couple times a week. It's usually the introduceyourself posts and I feel quite proud that a couple of them are having greater success on their posts.

Just to mention some new people to follow:
@bangboy(Yes, I thought It was a funny username :P) but creates his own content of what he does for a living in Indonesia. Check out his most recent post - https://steemit.com/art/@bangboy/how-to-create-an-evacuation-route-signs

Yesterday I came across a user that seemed to have joined back in August but never really had much success on a post and came back starting the new year with a proper introduction post and a video, @camille1234 explained her idea for promoting education with the steem platform.

I highly recommend following these new users and encourage them to continue to create content. It is up to us to guide those that aren't fully familiar with the platform, show them the potential this place can have, and they can come here everyday to be apart of a community get information and value without censorship. We are all seeking knowledge and truth, learning to Gain One's Definition

We should want those that come after, to do better.

My New Objective:

I have supported many users that have been a long time steemian and as I always will support them, I will be voting less on those that have already established a following and are doing well on steemit. It is time to support the new blood and encourage value to the platform and work together as a community.

It's a start of a new year and we can do better than the last year.

I will look into new ways to distribute steem and make it easy to earn. There are so many ways to earn rewards than just blogging. With so many projects, contests, and miscellaneous tools, we are capable to create a sustainable way this platform can scale.

Growing Pains:

With the latest issue that seems to be growing is auto-bot voting and vote buying. There are great honest services like https://streemian.com, but user @inertia makes a good point:

The really good part is, we've seen what might happen when on-chain curation guilds come online. It might not be a mess right now (though some people say it is already), but with on-chain curation guilds, any negative effects might be amplified.

@mughat has mentioned this many times about "sub-steems" to help prevent whale's and groups from dominating.

From what I understand, something like it is already a plan in the future on Steemit.
