Friends who edify.
Greetings brothers and friends,
In our life there are many places where we meet people of all kinds. At work, we meet people who are consistent with our profession, in college, we find people with the same educational interests, so in life, we have many acquaintances and share much of our time with them.
However, treating many people does not mean that everyone is our friend. A friend, with whom we share more time, is with whom we exchange experiences, concerns, advice, in short, they are people to whom we have full confidence.
Friends are important for the development of each individual, there are lonely people, who do not interact with people around them and are generally empty people or without interest in anything.
By having people of trust in our life, we are allowing to receive good or bad contributions, since with these people we have affinity and sooner or later these people will be able to influence our lives.
Proverbs 27:17
Our trusted friends have the privilege of advising us and telling us the truth when we do something that is not right, therefore, we must choose those people who have our interests, people who help us grow and who contribute positive things in our lives. Those who are really going to want good for us.As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Just as iron sharpens another iron, in the same way, so that a person can be properly built in the Christian character that God wants us to forge in our lives requires people who can help us with wise words and advice.
Likewise, we need those friendships that can speak to us with truth what is wrong with us, just as a metal file is useful for sharpening the knife. It may be awkward for us at the moment, but it is necessary if we want to develop our lives and become sharp.
These are necessary friendships, which will make us grow and also help us form a mature character where we can accept constructive criticism and understand that there will be times when they will have to say us truths that may cause us discomfort, but this friction is necessary to produce the desired effect
Proverbs 19:20
We must learn to listen with humility and love to the words of those who come, if we know that these words are given with love and for the purpose of edifying ourselves.Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.

Friendship may be necessary to actualise our God given destiny. Scripturally , Johnathan was destined by God to help drive the destiny of David!
But as a blunt iron can be effective in sharpening another iron, effective friends must be "rough edged" sometimes . This means influence the other with "bitter truth" which may not be pleasant to the ordinary ear!
This is how friends can be effective in driving one another's destinies!
Keep dishing us your regular impactful exhortations!
Be Blessed IJMN!
