Chrome OS is preparing to implement virtual desktops
One of the UNIX-like operating system symbol capabilities, at least up to Windows 10, was the presence of multiple desktops. Both Mac OS X (then MacOS) and major Linux and BSD desktops support multiple desktops for years, and Microsoft has aligned itself with Windows 10. The only operating system that does not yet have this feature is Chrome OS, which could, however, will launch.
According to some commissions in the repository of the project, in fact, Chrome OS could soon be equipped with virtual desktops, called "virtual desktops" as in many Linux graphics environments. As Neowin writes, at present development is still at an early stage, but it already has an interface that looks like MacOS and Windows 10, with virtual desktop thumbnails and a presentation of open windows on the current desktop .
The arrival of this feature, along with the development of compatibility with Linux applications, opens the doors to Chrome OS's most advanced users, which requires more software and interfaces than previously available from the operating system.
It is not currently clear when this feature will be made available to the user, given the development state just started. However, this add-on is fully integrated into the Chrome OS maturing in recent months, a limited operating system that is predominantly oriented to using online services to a more traditional system.
