THE DIARYGAME : MY FIRST STEEM MEET UP - 15/05/21

Hello fellow steemians, I trust you’re all doing great. This is my diary update from yesterday 15th May, 2021. @massachusetts invited me to a meetup earlier during the week and said it was a meetup to help the invitees including me learn more about steem and how it works, and the benefits we would gain from using steem. I wasn’t a newbie tho but I had to come and get some shots from his presentation.

Yesterday’s activities were very fun and nice and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed them yesterday.

I woke up at 5:30 am to pray the Fajr prayer which is one of the compulsory daily prayers for a Muslim. I decided to sleep a little more after the prayer since the meeting was at 10am. I woke up again at 7:45 and I cleaned my room a little bit. I brushed my teeth, drank an instant coffee and then took my bath. I dressed up and was ready by 8:50. I took a taxi and left for the destination of the meetup. I arrived at the destination with some of the invitees at around 10:00 am.

The meeting started at around 10:30am after we had arranged the place and it was all set to start. @massachussets and @farhmade were representatives of steem Ghana that taught us how to use steem. They helped us sign in into our accounts and taught us about the various communities available in steem.

They also taught us about the steem wallets and how to make posts. We learnt to inset pictures and reference them as well. They warned us about plagiarism and told us to make our posts genuine and true. Some newbies were taught how to make their achievement1 posts and some were taught how to sign up for steem. I learnt a lot about steem from yesterday’s meeting thanks to @massachussets and @farhmade. We had some food and drinks as well and then we ended the meeting at around 3:30.
