Looking at the trees from a distance
I try to keep my old habits in times like these. I no longer say how my life has changed, now, because we all see. Some of us feel on their pill and others, more fortunate, just on TV.
I live in Bucharest, Romania. Here we approach the harder part with the spread of the virus, the more dangerous part. Because of this and the measures taken by the authorities are becoming tougher.
Freedom of movement was the most affected, especially for those over the age of 65. My wife and I fall into this category. We are allowed to leave the house only two hours a day, between 11 am and 1 pm.
Walking has become a habit and a necessity for us.
Near the house is a park. This park was one of the reasons I moved to this neighborhood. Beyond the ride. Everywhere I have to go from home I cross the park and that was one of my joys.
For several days the park has been closed. We are not allowed to walk through the park.
However, I am allowed to go near the park. Now that I can no longer enter, the park seems even more beautiful to me. I remain pleased to look over the fence. For #TreeTuesday, this challenge imagined by @old-guy-photos will use some photos taken during this ride.
All the entrances to the park were sealed by the police. I didn't think I'd ever see that. For me, it is an image that depresses me more than the TV news announcing more and more people infected with the coronavirus.
Only the pigeons are still in the park and it is surprising that people no longer walk in the alleys. Now we can walk around the empty streets and look over the fence.
But let's take a look over the fence ...
My park looks like a forest, a forest without humans and other animals.
God, now I like this park the most. Now, when they have bloomed a lot of small yellow flowers and the grass seems to be golden.
I meet again with the locked gate of the park. I don't like it at all. I am not the only one who would prefer a park crossing instead of waiting for the bus.
As I said, it is only within this two hour period that the eldest are allowed to leave the house.
Because the park is forbidden I have to walk the streets of the neighborhood. Fortunately, they are lacking in people. Because we all avoid meeting strangers. We have become suspicious and we are afraid we will not interact with those infected, which can make us sick. I am afraid we will not remain with this reluctance even after this crisis will pass. The only person I met was a woman who came by bicycle from shopping. Protected by the mask.
The streets in the neighborhood are full of flowers. Their beauty helps me to forget about the unpleasant situation we are in. The Japanese quince blossom.
It's a kind of tree, smaller but invaded by flowers, it is for #alwaysaflower and for @dswigle who appreciates everything that blooms.
This post was initially posted here but I think all my friends, wherever they are, should see it.
As long as we are threatened by this invisible enemy, it's good to protect ourselves!
Congratulations!

You are lucky that you can go out at least 2 hours a day. In Spain, you can’t go out at all, only to the store.
And it is so unfortunate that at such a beautiful time, spring, everything blossoms and smells, and we are forced to sit at home.
Your park is beautiful!
I hope that soon we can all walk and walk where we want and when we want! Health to you! Take care!
So depressing, isn't it? The beauty is all around us and yet, we cannot touch it! I understand how you must feel. We can go out and exercise, but, must keep social distances. Other than that, you must remain in.
Your pictures are beautiful and your part is amazingly beautiful, I hope this all ends soon and we can go back to life. Thank you for thinking of me, the flowers are sweet!!
How is your new little granddaughter???
