Hi-Oh!

In this post I would like to introduce you to Patrick Roehrman, owner and operator of MTKnives.

Don't let the crazy looking beard fool you, Patrick is a very intelligent and switched on guy.

Patrick started his knife making business out of inspiration and motivation from Jack Spirko's The Survival Podcast. In a short time, he built his business up to full time status because of the quality of craftsmanship and superb customer service.

Patrick is one of Jack's "Expert Council Members" and was teaching us how to hand craft a hilt for one of his Genesis 3 neck knives.

I've been wanting to get one of these for years now to be part of my EDC (Every Day Carry) but never took the time to order one.

Now, after having met him and gotten to know him, I bought one. Not only because of it's functionality, but to support such a swell guy (who happens to have 9 children and one on the way!)

Anyone who believes in having more children, not less, is worthy of my business.

*** correction*** No baby on the way :D Thanks for sharing It was great talking to you :) It was a great weekend!

Did he speak to your wife without you knowing?
:-P

So when will you make your own introduction post??

I keep hearing Jack talk about him!! Thank you for sharing your experience!

Very cool. Doesn't everyone carry a knife? BTW where is a photo of your hilt?

I'm looking at going on a knife making course shortly. Partly because it will be a useful skill to have, and partly because a new law is coming into force in the UK shortly restricting the sale of knives.

However I did pick up this little knifey number today. A credit card knife. I wouldn't want to take on Steven Seagal in knife fight with it but for $3 a handy thing to carry in your wallet.

Where do you find something like that?

I found it on eBay UK :

Notice they don't use the word knife as I think that might get them problems in the UK.

I heard about Patrick Roehrman on the Survival Podcast also. Thanks for the report he seems like a genuinely nice guy.
