Join Me To Celebrate My Church Children's Anniversary Today;

Shout for joy to the LORD of hosts, the mighty father that answers our prayers despite all our inequities and not keeping to steadfastness,yet He still shoe his love towards us.
Worship the LORD with gladness and come before him with joyful songs; for he has done a new thing.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with Thanksgiving (Singing). Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter unto his gates with Thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise : be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations - Psalm 100.

Each year on the 4th Sunday of September we celebrate Annual Children's Anniversary in Cherubim And Seraphim Church, Nigeria. It's a fun-filled and joyous celebration for the entire Church and the congregations to express their gratitude to God for a bountiful harvest and for seeing another year to celebrate the Annual Children's Anniversary in sound health and happiness.

On this days, all the churches were allowed to give chances to the children to takeover the church and express their minds about what they have learnt so far from Sunday School classes. The Sunday School Teacher's will organise different forms of entertainment that will be done by the children to entertain the congregations and let the church learn a new things from these children.

These were what they presented to entertain and teach the congregations;

• Bible Study Quiz
• Bible Study Recitation
• Drama
• Choreography
• Sermonizing

Allow me to Emphasize on their forms of entertainment;

BIBLE STUDY QUIZ

Children's were called out in this aspect for a Bible Competition. There are three groups in this aspect, each group has maximum of 3 participants to compete with each other over what they have been taught round the year in the Sunday school class.
Any group that win the contest will be given prize, so each group always try as much as possible to be the winner.

• 1. To show their Bible knowledge to the congregations
• 1. And to go home with the prize. 😂

BIBLE STUDY RECITATION

Under this, the children has be given different Bible verses 60days ahead of the Harvest to study, to be able to recite them on the anniversary. Each and everyone of the children will be given a package after the successful of the recitation.

DRAMA AND CHOREOGRAPHY

I know you may be wondering why I combine this together. It was because they are of the same category with different acts ; the choreography is the art of creating, arranging and recording the dance movements of a ballet etc
The children will present a song with movements by a series of symbols to entertain the congregations.
These children has been taught on the drama they would act, and the roles each and everyone of them will take. This aspect always teach the congregations "Closeness to God" to desist from idolatry .

SERMONIZING

This is one of the opportunity granted to the children on their anniversary to teach the church about what they have learnt so far in accordance with the teachings of the Bible .

Myself after the Anniversary

As an adult I got involved in the self-development field, what thechildren taught really touched me . I've been using "god within",and internal force I was told I could use to maximize my "creative potential" for success. This appealed to my ego and made me seem like the master of my own fate. Then I finally saw that this "god within" was only my own self determination. It was really "God within" who had been blessing me all along even though I was talking all the credit . In one of my first prayers for forgiveness, I asked the Lord to forgive me for giving myself credit for thins that were gifts from Him. As I was praying about this, the phase "God Without" kept repeating itself in my mind.

The word "without" applies to lots of things where He is concerned.

Then I bless God for giving me the opportunity to learn from this children, how far they have went to have this long Bible verses in their brain ; though they are still very young and their brain is still fresh. What kept me wondering was that if possible different churches can teach children in this way, it will be so rare to see ungoldly people in our community.

If you're looking for things to be thankful for (even if you live in a country where Thanksgiving isn't celebrated) try to learn from the children you show the way of God to. I'm sure He will bring you some cause to be thankful.
